    Hi,

I have a tacoma with the p3 brake controller with my Geo Pro 20bhs. I have adjusted it to 12.8 for my brake and I drive and test it out on a 25 miles and pull the p3 brake controller and it worked good.

My question is when I'm towing this trailer and I stop and go on slow traffic. It seem like there is a push on the stop and when I let go the gas there is a push to it. Like a jerk.
Is this normal? or is my setting on the brake controller is not set correctly?

I figured it out. i set the boost to B2 i needed it to be B1 or off. that took off the jerking wheneve I brake and release.

I used B1 or B2 in traffic when you need a quick response. Otherwise highway cruising I leave the boost off.

How does the tacoma tow the GeoPro? We have a Geo Pro 19FBS and are looking to move into a 21 Tacoma as our tow vehicle and downsize from a 3/4 ton as it is no longer needed and overkill/too large for practical DD use.

I just got back from a run up to the PA Poconos towing a Jayco 7 19bh GVW 3,900. It did okay up hill with a little work. averaged about 15mpg. But coming home in a headwind down hill @17mph the trucked worked pretty hard to make 45mph. Truck and camper were pushed hard. Scared the crap out of my wife and I. MPG went down to 14mpg. The wind is the Tacoma enemy.

I've got a 16BHS and not sure I would want to tow anything much bigger. Ect and S4 and don't be scared to run the needle up the tach. We did a 400 mile round trip with our camper a month ago and did fine with 2 grades each way. Taco's with trailers suck in the wind, I saw a semi with a 53ft trailer get blown halfway out of his lane just ahead of me and a couple seconds later we did too. I stayed behind him and watched for movement on his trailer so I could anticipate it.

Great info to have. Thanks! We are planning to get a smaller camper once the crazy demand with the pandemic comes back to normal but want to be able to continue to camp in the mean time.
