Can I tow a 7,500 pound camper if I add a brake system and get a hitch that pulls 10,000 lbs? Without buying distribution hitch and sway bars

    Trolling? Can you say trolling?
But in answer to your question, you are probably good to go as long as you don’t exceed 20,000lbs. Over 20000 and you definitely need a wdh. If you have a 4 cylinder then error on the side of caution and keep it below 18,000lbs. Let us know how your first towing adventure goes. (For the up tight people and the mentally impaired this is just an attempt at humor, we always advocate to follow manufacturers towing guidelines as per the owners manual)

Tho the tongue weight can be kept at about 3000lbs. So the wdh would kinda be overkill. Do concider 3-4" lift blocks on the rear springs.

what weight is Ur pickup rated to tow.................legally

proper loading would allow for no more than 500lbs at the hitch

that can be accomplished without a weight distribution hitch

there again loaded properly a trailer does not have to sway

trailers like most cars/truck are lopsided..................in reality more weight over centerline than the other side

my hitch by CURT is rated at 9000.................far more than the truck rating

more than i would ever haul

    altho properly loaded

    proper knowledge

    correct experience

    much has been accomplished

    be safe stay legal
