    It depends on the trailer your pulling and if it's level or not. Not the lift.
    Park them both on a level surface, level the trailer and measure the distance between the two where they couple together. That will tell you what you need

    when my truck was stock height, i had a 2 inch drop ball hitch kit and the trailer was level. so im guessing a 6 inch drop to keep it the same? just trying to save time so i buy the right one the first time

    Well, if you had a 2 " drop hitch before and you raise the truck an additional 6 " . Then that means you need an 8" drop.
