I was going to do this tomorrow as a Friday "Is it totalled?" thread, but didn't want to be too silly.

Anyway, I have a small scratch on the fender of my Cement Tacoma. Not through the primer, but I still want to touch it up.

I know I can it from the dealer, but was just wondering if other brands are as good.

I went to the dealership and bought the color matched touch up paint for this chip on the roof...almost hit the windshield!

I don't have a recent after pic but the color matched perfect. I paid like $12.

Ive been using the OEM touch up paint and clear since I first got my truck. Chips get the color, scratches in the clear coat just get new clear. Its worked very well.

Like others I don’t think you can go wrong with OEM or Dr. color Chip. I’ve used both with great results. Should match well either way. Good luck!

I dont use the clear much as I dont get too many scratches. But the touch up paint color works well without putting clear on it. The clear is a totally different application than the color too.

For me I will scuff the scratch with the sanding tip of the touch up bottle, then I apply the clear and scrape the extra with a plastic razor blade. Then I will buff it out and it matches perfect.

But again I only use the clear if the scratch is only through the clear and not into the color.

    Oh look, another mod....
I recently bought a touchup pen from this company: https://touchupdirect.com/

I had two marks I wanted to cover up. They were very minor nick's and it did a great job. I've already forgotten the spot they were in! The color match is perfect for my Voodoo Blue.

OEM/Dealer touch up paint matched my cement exactly.

Many of the auto parts store bottle of touch up paint are real thin and runny, go with the dealership stuff.
