No grease required for the Heim Joint UCA's. You will prep the Heim Joints in a very similar way to the Uniball, Soap & Water to clean and a little Tri-Flow Dry PTFE lubricant.

@TOTAL CHAOS whats the color code you guys use on the coating? Gonna have a set media blasted and coated to freshen these Upper arms, to go along with the new Uniballs and Bushings.

Are you trying to re-powder coat a set of TC UCA's? How old are they? Could we see a few pics of the arms?

I'm asking because we rarely see powder coat issues and I'd like to know if we need to do something different or make any changes.

Unfortunately, those do not appear to be TC UCA’s. They appear to be a knock-off based on the coating, welds, and hardware. Unfortunately, we've had to stop a few eBay and FB advertisements for trying to sell these arms as ours.

TC upper control arms are production stamp coded on the pivot gussets with the part # on one side of the gusset and a letter# ex: A18

Just wanted to say; even though I already know this information, thanks for the videos and making a great product. After having issues with another manufacturers a-arms, I asked a friend that built multiple landcruisers, FJ's, and Tacomas; what he recommended. He said TC.

The install was smooth and zero problems after 30K+ miles and 4-1/2 years. I cant be happier.

How miles do the uniballs and bushings last for under normal driving conditions?

Mileage will vary greatly between applications. There are too many factors like road conditions, pavement vs. dirt, salt, etc. that affect the mileage. It depends on the setup and how regular the maintenance is done.

It's possible you have an old kit or the zerks popped off. We started including zerk fittings about 8 years ago. If your arm does not have the pre-drilled holes, you will need to drill and tap for a zerk in order to grease the arms

We don't have experience with this grease but it looks like it could work. A little googling shows others using this on Urethane Bushings

Anyone know the size of the zerk fittings? mine are pretty gummed up now and I'd like to replace them.

UCA’s seem to be getting creaky after any dusty gravel road or off-road trips. I have been following the directions exactly like in the video and using the same super lube.

Perhaps there is another grease you know of that may fix my situation? Not a huge deal but hate having to grease them every month.

I’m planning on replacing my uniballs(assuming they need to be replaced based on the pitting) but unsure if the bushings need to be replaced, what are unifications of when it’s time? Also, do you sell replacement sleeves that go inside the bushings? Mine have a bit of galling.

    1/4-28 for our zerk fittings

A few customers have reported good luck with the valvoline suspension grease.

Are you experiencing any squeaks, creaks, or other noises?

How many miles are on your settup?

A pitted uniball could break down the woven PTFE fabric liner and cause premature replacement.

We can certainly sell you replacement sleeves. Give us a ring at 951-737-9682
