I got this set up currently with the bamf relocation. What are you looking to run in the front with this rear?

Starting off MT with with the TC UCA's and extended travel coilovers. Maybe the +2" in the future, but nothing more than that.

I also am curious if anyone has feedback on the heavy duty vs standard deaver packs for the SUA kit. I will have significant "junk in the truck" aka camper shell and bumper.

Heavy duty was designed to carry in upwards of 700lbs. I’ve been told by TC when ordering for a customer that they designed the HD pack so leafs could be removed to tailor the pack to the owner weight needs.

Good to hear that for the HD pack. I estimate ~500lb so I would be removing leaves.

I have also heard that Deaver can help with leaf packs to meet customer weight requirements. But removing leaves sounds easier.

First thing I would consider is cutting down the bolts. They can snag up on stuff pretty fast.

Not stocking you i swear but dig the single cab! I know you looked into the archive stuff at one point. Any thoughts of running the tc with his hangers? Emailed tc and they said no issue since installs in stock location. They are definitely improvement over stock so wondering if they’d compliment the tc kit. Guessing you going with tc hoops? And still planning on the 10” two tube?

Just make sure you understand that the hangers for the TC sua kit are very short in length due to being SUA. I had no issue with my hangers, but I don't know if you would achieve much by swapping with archive hangers.

The reason I ask is it looks like the tc fits in factory front and rear hangers. Ive noticed a better ride with the archive ones so wondering if the tc would benefit from that. Plus ive already cut off the rear hangers. But maybe im looking at the wrong tc kit

Aye you are right! I got the shackles mixed up with the hangers...my b. I would confirm with archive/tc to confirm that compatibility wise it wouldn't be an issue, but as long as the archive hangers are spec'd to have the exact same geo on the hangers with no lift elements or shifting involved than it should be just fine. I would def get your hangers installed first so when you go to burn on the perches that its already dialed into the new hangers just in case there is some deviation in their design.

I dont have any experience changing out hangers. However, they are holding your truck up...

I’m referring to going through the bed with a bed cage. Anyone building a bed cage thru their bed would be silly to run less than a 14” shock. If you read my other post in this thread I recommend a 12” if it’s under the bed. I could go over the pros and cons of each but I don’t feel it’s necessary.

How much benefit did you get going from SOA to SUA, with both being mid-travel?

Well unfortunately I cant really elaborate much on the SOA side as I didn't start to wheel until I got my SUA installed. That said though, you gain back the up travel that the SOA freezes up by being permanently lifted. For me it worked perfectly in tandem with mid travel kings and on trail I was able to take things a lot better than guys being SOA. If you prefer speed on trail, I def recommend it over getting thrown all over the place being SOA. Also makes having a shock relocation worth it as you can get up to 12 inches of travel since you can use the up travel.

The only thing that freaks people out is the fact that the leafs are underneath. But if you drive on stuff instead of trying to just drive over everything then you wont get hung up. The issue that I do see though is depending on your lift, your rear may not be as high now. Im not sure what loads you run in the rear, but the HD version can yield somewhere around 2-2.25 inches of lift. The standard version will be more around the 1.5-2 inch lift mark from what I understand. If you run the HD version, I would recommend getting clickers especially so you can play with the compression a little bit, but plan to have about 150-200# if you want it to feel great.

That said, my dmz sua likes about 200# in the bed as well.

Thanks. I'm running about 750# in the bed, so definitely HD or heavier.

My SOA is definitely on the bumps alot, and that can't be helping the handling.

If I'm going to bother I'll probably do the DMZ kit, since it's not that much more money, and the Fab work is free.

Would you run shocks under the bed or go through it? I agree man, DMZ is def worth the investment, but if you plan to go through the bed then you will need to fashion a bed rack.

Through the bed eventually, but to start keep it under the bed. I'm getting 11" of solid travel now, but the up/down ratio isn't in my favor. And spending the money for the TC kit doesn't make sense to keep the same travel.

I agree especially if you have goals to go through the bed to bypass the TC kit altogether. For many they have the opposite ambitions of staying under the bed, but eventually consider getting a bed cage and all that.

Eventually the bed comes off and the cage/rack goes on instead. So no limits :)

So are you going full crawler? If so, man I would just start saving for a link rear and skip the sua route.
