Does anyone know what the torque spec is for a 2020 OR Tacoma rear axle u-bolt?

I recently added a 2.5 degree spacer to correct a low speed driveline vibration. I used this spacer: 2.5 Degree Axle Shims - Rancho RS8125. It has a hole in the center to accommodate the centering pin, but the centering pin head is not long enough to go through the shim and into the axle mount. Will this be an issue so long as the u-bolts are torqued properly. They only had flat washers so I was planning to replace them with nylon lock nuts.

Yes it will be an issue, or highly likely that it will become an issue. You need a center pin spacer or new longer center pins.

73 is more accurate. 52 is to low. I put mine at 80 for safe measure and have had zero issues.

you absolutely want the centering pin in the down in the axle get proper axle shims that you run the center bolt through like the rest of the leafs, not just have the pack sit on it.

    Also aluminum shims.... nope.

    It's 52 ft-lbf, per the 2020 Toyota repair manual.

    I found info on 2016+ stating 52 ft/lbs.

When I did mine they were a little loose. Not terribly but definatly noticeable. This is one of those 30 second jobs with a deep 19mm socket and a torque wrench to to while the oil is draining.

Edit: call any offroad shop worth a damn and get a center pin long enough. Do not mess with this or you will find you may be missing some parts real quick.

Make sure the center pins are through a little. You could grind a couple washers the same size as the head.
