So I just got a OBD2 bluetooth reader and now am looking for a good app to show ATF temp. Which one does it best for the price? I know it takes some work to get Torque pro working with custom PID's and stuff, but how about Fusion, does it work out of the box or do you have to pay more for "add-on" packages? Is there other apps that can show ATF temps out of the box for a reasonable price?

I tried the Fusion app with a Toyota add on. It is a very nice looking app, however, I found some of the readings were way off. I was pretty sure my Tacoma was not getting 75mpg, so I didn't have much confidence in it and I asked for a refund. I think with the Toyota add on, it was $20-25.
Torque Pro looks more "dated", but it only costs $5. The transmission temperature PIDs are available and easily entered into the program. Torque Pro's readouts seem fairly accurate.
In defense of Fusion, my 2005 does not have all the sensors a 2015 may have, so it may be a better value with a later model truck. If your vehicle doesn't have a sensor, no app is going to provide data.

I use the fusion. I purchased the add on so I could get pan temp and converter temp withputbthe hassle.

It’s fine. Really just a novelty, but I do use it for trans fluid swaps.

I paid $9.99 for the Fusion iOS (Apple) application.
Toyota Add-On is $9.99 as well. Total of $19.98.

However I did not buy the Add On pack to get ATF pan temp. Just refer to https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/how-to-get-transmission-temps-on-fusion-app-for-ios.359279/ for the formula to create your own user defined PID. Once the User Defined PID is created, you can create a new dashboard widget that is backed by the User Defined PID.

That's interesting. This whole time I thought the add-on pack included ATF temps. Or is that for Apple products only?
