Anybody tried these? I get that they aren’t actually rock sliders, but I’m not doing any rock crawling and the look is pretty spot on.

 

As long as you go into it knowing they're not sliders and if u land on em, they'll wreck your truck even worse, then go for it. As long as u like the way they look, That's all that matters.

to use as a step if needed and for my main reason is to keep all the road debris from flying up and hitting my truck. Didnt know if it didnt bolt to the frame it had no purpose.

I recently installed a set that looks identical to those but I think these stick out a little further. Got these from Armordillo. There 40lbs each.

 

looking at the photos on site I would say those are the exact same ones I got on Amazon. Mine are about 40lb each. Same finish same design and all.

 

I found these ones on Amazon for about $50 cheaper abd now I just checked and they raised them by $100.

Over $300 and you get a wanna be slider. Bolts to the body. Takes away ground clearance. They did a great job copying the slider look. Will take many suckers for their money.

I hear you, but I really have no need for rock sliders. I put mbrp bolt-on sliders on my last truck and it was just an $800 expense to look kool. Mud is really all I have to worry about down here in East TX. Looks like I’ll gain a little more clearance over my predator steps with these knockoffs tho, no?

 

To each their own. I suppose if you never go on trails, you will be ok. The loss of ground clearance I was referring to are from the mounting brackets.
