Top speed

Anyone know how or has done a mod to rid their truck of that damn speed limiter please help!!! I was thinking it might be done through a tune like ov…

 

Stock tire size and/or gears?
What does it top out at? I’ve never gone that fast, doesn’t feel great after about 90-95, the few times I’ve done it.

 

Tires are holding you back, not ecu.

You are asking a lot from a minivan drivetrain if you expect to run north of 75mph. Perhaps invest in something designed to drive at a higher rate if speed.

 

Most tunes get rid of the governor. If I remember right, the stock governor is at 115 mph, I think?

Which is too fucking fast for a Tacoma. I've gone fast in many vehicles, I've broken 180 mph in at least one, but I've never broken 100 with a Taco. That's goofy as hell.

 

Uhhh when I hit like 80mph in my Tacoma, things start to get sketchy. I don’t even wanna ask. But I also do.
