Tonneau Cover?

So what is the big difference between the Access Literider and the Access LE? I can get Literider for $110.00 less...

You can use the stock tie downs with the access but you will need to get the smaller ones for the literider

If you decide to go with the LE, Luke at truck alterations has the best deal around (not sure if he has the same deal for the literider)

 

I just put the Undercover top on my new '09 SR5. It's perfect.

 

The lite rider is a great civer for the price and you can use the factory tie downs with the cover. What it doesn't have that the other more expensive Access covers have is the elemant seal the fits on the front edge of the box. I have looked for this seal on line and at auto parts store with no luck. If any one knows where to get one of these please let me know. Other wise foam tape will work ok to keep any water out.

 

Thanks for all the input guys. I went with the Literider for $275 delivered. For my needs I'm sure it will do just fine.

Undercover on my Tacoma. It's really easy to remove and hang up on the wall. I like the over hang over the tail gate as well as the locks.

 

Access LE all the way. Easy to install and cheap thanks to everyone on this forum.

 

I think the chrome rear bumper is better-looking on the silver tacoma.

 

Installed the Literider this morning. All was going well until I cross threaded the last bolt on the side rail and then stripped the allen head trying to back it out. Oh well, I'll worry about that later. Tried an easy out but it just spins in that soft bolt head. Cover fits tight and looks great! $275.00 delivered in one day from Luke at Truck Alterations.

I looked at the Leer, but it was a little higher profile for me. Ended up ordering the ARE LSII.

I wanted a painted cover to match the truck...

Didn't want to start a new thread so here goes: Those of you with the Access Literider, can you DEFINITELY use the OEM tie down cleats with this tonneau?

Depending on price I'm definitely getting this unless I get an incredible deal on the Undercover.

 

Yes, you can. BUT, be advised that to mount the Literider you pull the rails, install the cover and re-install the rails. What that means is that the rails are about an inch closer together than they were from the factory. Not a big deal unless you want to use a Toyota cargo divider or something like that.

I've had my Literider for a couple of months now and I really like it. Money well spent.

 

The only other thing that concerns me is the water leakage. Looks like the Literider doesn't come with the Element Seal which would pose a problem for me. I'm not so much looking for security as I am weather protection for what I put back there.

 

You can always go to Lowe's or Home Depot or anyother hardware store and buy some door seal to put in there... or get the LE - it comes with the element seal and the tail gate seal

 

I have the Access LE and I get some water in the bed of my truck when it rains heavy. It seems to come from the head of the bed where the clips are.

 

^Yeah, I figure heavy rain would affect pretty much any soft cover tonneau. My main concern is transporting a stroller in the back. As long as it stays dry enough and bug free enough for the baby, I'm good.

I don't want a hard cover (well I DO but..), which would pretty much solve the leakage issue, because I actually use the bed of my truck quite often and don't want to have to remove it all the time. Honestly, I'd rather have a cap but I'm not ready to do that right now.
