Tonneau cover websites...all the same?

I'm currently a month in on my wait for a tonneau cover order from Gator. This is my second attempt after a previously cancelled order from Tonneau Covers World last year. After taking another look around; Gator, Tonneau Covers World, Real Truck, BAKFlip, EXTang, Truck Hero, etc. sites all display/function virtually the same (especially when viewed from a mobile device). Are these companies all subsidiaries of another company? Or is it a "coincidence" they all function/look the same? Anyone have any incite? Thanx.

Take a look at Peragon. Family owned right here in the US. My time from order to delivery was quite short and that was at the start of covid lockdown.

 

I was looking at the solid fold and there are a bunch of overseas vendors selling what looks like a previous version of the solid fold. I agree with the OP, almost every vinyl cover looks the same down to the stitching but had different names on it. Looks like one plant makes them all.

 

I'm currently shopping for a Tonneau and found all the websites are identical. I've seen this with other products as well and indeed they are all the same company.

 

Many of the websites are just retailers not manufacturers. If possible deal directly with the manufacturer.

 

Just ordered a truxcedo from realtruck Tuesday at 12:30pm arrived today Thursday at 4pm. Noticed most of the sites seemed the same and was wondering the same thing. At least with realTruck they sold alot of differnt truck parts, plus they had alot of fast ship covers for the taco.

 

Not sure about the retailers but the manufacturers of many "different" brands are the same. If you look really closely you will notice that many of the covers under different brands are identical. I was talking to a local individual who is a reseller and he confirmed this suspicion.

 

I'm currently researching running boards/side steps and have noticed the same thing. Realtruck, runningboardwarehouse, havocoffroad, they're all the same site with different names.

 

Yup. I noticed that as well. I went with Tyger because Gator wasn’t listed for a ‘21 , even though I knew it would fit, it was just a hassle .They are the same unit as far as their tri-fold goes. In the end , I ordered thru Amazon.

OP, have you considered a Diamondback?Obv way more expensive but it provides actual security. Safer than having your gear in the cab even.

Truck Hero is, in fact, the parent company of RealTruck, if you visit truck-hero.com you will see all the brands that are owned under this company
realtruck.com, gatorcovers.com, bakflip.com, runningboardwarehouse.com, tonneaucoversworld.com are yes all sister sites. If you call in on RealTrucks site then proceed to Gators site or any of the other listed websites you will get a rep in the same building if not even possibly the same rep.

We have these different sites because our main site, being realtruck.com has over 300,000 different truck parts and we have set up these different sites to allow for specific items, if you are looking for running boards / nerf bars you probably aren't wanting to see vent visors, wheels, bumpers, etc.
