Obligatory day (night) of purchase shot:

 

1/16/19: First thing that had to be done, get that awful chrome surround off the grill. Also pulled the badges and stickers off while I was at it.





4/25/19: Found a good deal on a set of K-Bro-2's and some Level 8 MK6's.




5/5/19: Someone sent me a FB Marketplace post for some hand-me-down Icons. Made the trip to KC to pick them up, and ordered a pair of Total Chaos UCAs.

 

6/19/19: Ordered a set of RCI 20° Sliders for my upcoming trip out west.



6/28/19: Got everything packed up and headed to Colorado for a week.

 

7/2/19: Most of the trails in Colorado were still closed due to the heavy snow totals, so I decided to head to Moab. Had time to do Fins and Things before making the drive back to IL.





8/5/19: Decided I was going to go to ATR at Windrock Park in TN, so I ordered SOS Full Skids, did an exhaust reroute, and threw on an AAL with the Icons (been running factory rear suspension until then).

 

8/11/19: The inevitable happened. Smoked a deer 3 weeks before we were supposed to head to TN for ATR. Hit it doing 65 mph, bent the passenger side spindle.



8/20/19: Body shop had me back on the road with plenty of time to spare before ATR.



8/28/19: Made it to ATR with the STL crew. First night out on the trails cut a tire.



8/29/19: Ran to town to get a new tire and headed right back out on the trails.

 

9/28/19: I live in the middle of thousands of acres of public land, the Shawnee National Forest. Decided to grab a Forest Service road map and start the search for some decent trails local to me.



11/9/19: Opening day of duck season for Illinois' south central zone. Hit another deer at 3 in the morning, headed to the marsh.



After the 2nd deer, I decided it was time to go away from the plastic front end. Put in an order for a C4 Hybrid bumper, and it should be here sometime at the beginning of February.

 

Truck is currently at a stand-still until the bumper arrives. Luckily it is duck season here in southern Illinois, so I have plenty to do to pass the time until then.

(Hopefully these do not upset anyone )

 

Lookin good, cement grey is for sure the best 3rd gen color. Complements any mod really well

2/13/20: The C4 Hybrid bumper finally arrived earlier in the week. Paint, mounting winch and lights, and it was time to throw it on.




2/15/20: Finished up wiring in the two sets of Squadrons, and took it for a quick test run.

Wrapped up our snow goose hunting yesterday. Subpar hunts, just couldnt get on em this year. Still fun none the less.

 

05/05/2020: Haven't done much to the truck recently other than some bumper damage.



Decided it was time to start preparing for our trip out west. Hopped online and got to ordering.

-King 14" 700 lb springs to replace the Icon 12" 650 lb to compensate for the front end setup.
-Kenda Klever RT 35x10.50r17s
-WarFab Warthog rear bumper with swing out to replace the beat up factory bumper.

Two of the 5 tires came in yesterday. Going to get a little more wear out of the KO2s before I swap.

05/14/2020: Finally got the tires mounted up



05/16/2020: Ended up putting my overload spring back on the rear leaf packs for when the rear bumper comes in. Gave the truck some rake back (prefer a flat stance).



Hopefully will get the coilovers sent off for springs and rebuilds this week.

 

05/23/2020: Went to check on the duck hole so we can plant. Played around a little bit. Definitely cant tuck the front tires, but the backs fit just right.
