Should I use Loctite to secure the fasteners on my Auxillary Fuse panel or not? If so, should I use red or blue. My gut is telling me blue. 20190101_184735.jpg 20190101_184749_Burst01.jpg 20190101_184735.jpg 20190101_184749_Burst01.jpg

Sorry about using the "P-word" bracket. I bought it at the Overland Expo last spring.

lock washers would be my first bet, but if not, purple loctite would work best considering the size of bolt / screw you're dealing with.

TRD Off Road sticker. Not the whole package, just the sticker.
If your worried about them comming looses, then a dab of blue will do ya. Don't use red out they are likely to never come back off in one piece.

I agree with @SC4333, purple or lock washers would be best. But it's not worth making a trip if you dont have either and have blue loctite on hand.

If you have to ask... use blue and sleep comfortably tonight. Never, ever use green... ask me how I know.

    Working on them
Use Loctite 243 (blue) medium strength and only use 1 drop on the bolt (do not coat the bolt with it) then screw the nut on blue is made for Small bolts to prevent loosing from vibrations, Loctite 222 (Purple) is a low strength and is made to allow adjustments of small bolts if required and is not as oil / solvent resistant as the 243 Blue is.
