Got new wheels and tires and there is small rub by where the mud flap would be, I figured a lift would fix the issue but I’ve been reading that lift will only change when it rubs as it will still rub in same place when off-roading. Is cutting the only solution? Tires are Falken Wildpeaks 265 70 17 on SCS Ray 10’s.

Lots of people run that brand/size tire without any rubbing (I have them in 265/76/16, but they are the same width and diameter as yours, just different wheel size). It’s the offset on your aftermarket wheels that’s causing the rub. If you don’t want to cut, you can try heating the plastic fender liner with a heat gun and “re-molding” it farther away from the tire.

I’m fine with cutting it’s only rubbing a bit was just wondering if that was the only solution. When I lift it and take it off-road if it’s still gonna rub when the suspension flexes I might as well cut it now.

If you can post a pic it helps. Are you rubbing the cab mount or the fender? Either way you probably have some cutting to do.

I cut off that little tab that is in that pic to fix my rubbing with the same tires at 0 offset.
