Did you guys see you can now purchase tires on Amazon? They work with local shops to be "amazon installers" and your tires are sent to the shop (or already in stock) and are installed. Kind of interesting model. I tried to see what the certified shops were in my area but couldn't see it without actually purchasing the tires.

They've actually been doing it for a few years! I've ordered a set of tires for a previous vehicle and the process was painless. Now I have a Discount Tire within 2 minutes of my house so I do all my tire-stuff thru them. I can just walk home and they call me instead of waiting there reading old copies of Road and Track!

I ordered tires from Amazon a couple weeks ago.
My son ordered some from Amazon back in like October of last year.

In both cases we had them delivered to the house and just took them to the local tire shop (mine is different than his) to get them mounted / balanced, as in both cases that was actually cheaper than the Amazon "associated" places.

It's not new. I've been buying my Nitto tires from Amazon since 2018.

Did the shops have any reservations since you didn't purchase the tires from them?

there's the issue of shipping tires to Hawaii. Most likely you are purchasing have is in stock from Amazon associated tire shops.

Nope. Wasn't an issue at all.

I carried in my own tire sensors as well and they installed them.

Mine were $25 a wheel for the sensor install, mount and balance. They offered to put them on the truck, but I just threw them in the bed and did it at home.

    Oh look, another mod....
I'm shocked that Amazon hasn't expanded to selling cars & homes yet. But give it time, it'll happen...

I'd be leary when these guys offer big discounts. Usually your buying older dated tires.

I got a some older revo 2s after the 3s were released for less than $100. Tire shop was up front that they were old stock. They were fine. Scored!
