Over last few weeks noticed one tire is always 3-5 psi lower than all the rest which seem to hold pressure well.
When i drive it doesn't loose pressure its when the truck is parked. I cannot hear anything leaking so i do not think a leak this slow is going to be caught with spraying soapy water on it.
I wondering if its the valve stem since i have not found any nails or screws in the tire yet.

How old are the rims? Could be corrosion.

Find something big enough to dunk it in water or run a hose at low pressure over the tire and rim to look for bubbles.

Good idea @Shelf Life . Maybe a spray bottle with soapy water on suspect areas? :notsure:

I'd use a hose on low pressure, or just take it to a tire shop and have them find the leak.

    That’s what I use.
But a really slow leak can be hard to spot. You have to sit and wait for a bubble to form.

have you done any offroading recently? i had this same problem and come to find out i had dirt built up between the wheel and tire bead and it was causing a slow leak.

Not recently but a couple months ago. The leak seems so slow i do not think soapy water would show anything it takes hours for it to decrease pressure.
I was thinking about if cannot find any leak or debris stuck in tire maybe getting a can of inflation stuff that blow the tire up and seals it.

Best thing is to just take it to a tire shop and have them look at it. will save you a headache

I’d take it to a tire shop. The only issue there is they can get strict on what they’ll fix, liability. So if your tires still got lots of meat, it sucks.

You could buy the do it yourself plug kit. I did it once, no issues.

Finding the leak. If you have leak detection solution like snoop. If not soapy water, more soap than water. Or a dunk tank, all which was already suggested.

Check the valve stem, spray soapy mixture around the bead, but if that doesn't show anything gotta dunk it in a "bathtub" and look for bubbles

That stuff may not be effective if the leak is caused by rust jacking at the rim bead seat. Just take it to a shop. They can unmount the tire and sand down the rim bead seat.

    Agreed ^^

Stay away from the cans of fix-a-flat. That stuff never works and it just makes a goopy mess for the tire guy to clean up

Take the wheel off, set it on a level surface and fill the point/ring where the tire meets the rim (with water). Sit patiently and wait for little bubbles. It may take a few minutes. I've done this in the past with good results.
When you find that's it, take it to a tire shop and ask the break the bead and put some bead seal on it. It's like low strength gasket sealer that come in a plastic can with a built in brush in the lid.
    My bet is on this.

Scotty claimed he put it in a tire and like 4 or 5 years later it was still keeping tire sealed.

I have rotated tired and what im noticing is that now the same tire is holding pressure ok but the tire thats now on the front drivers side is low almost as if it gets less sun and maybe is lower pressure than the other 3. Seems difficult to believe but thats whats happening.

Had that happen to me a year or two back. Thought for sure I had a leak, couldn't find anything. Pulled the core out as a last ditch effort and could see green corrosion on the core itself. From what I recall reading brass cores arent supposed to be used in steel stems for exactly this reason. Ordered some new ones and swapped all 4 out

Wicked easy to check if you have a valve core wrench

I tightened one of them up just make sure was not loose. They have the brass color to them so I think the valve itself is brass, same color as what the valve cap threads are. But to be sure i suppose i could take it out completely and use a magnet to check.

Whoops I posted my response above at the same time you posted this. Temp does have a very large influence on pressures. I think the rule of thumb is 10*F => 1 PSI. Take note of how the sun lands on your truck throughout the day. That might be your issue after all if checking PSI in the late afternoon.

I've never used it but heard tire shops will charge extra if it's in there.
