    Hey all.

Just picked up a 2018 TRD Sport 6MT in canada.

Do i have TPMS? Dealer seems to think so, but i cant get the pressure to display on the center display.

Is this not an option on this model or am I missing something?

    Thanks.

When your scanning (left to right) through the display, pay attention to the top of the screen. Stop panning when you get to the icon that looks like a vehicle. Then pan UP \ Down until you get to the TPM screen.

Did that... nothing all it goves me is radar cruise off and lane departure off.

I hold down the customize menu and press yes, then it just goes back to the same screen.

Hmmm. Just rechecked Pg. 96 of the Owners Manual?

Not sure if this info is still correct. - Are your valve stems rubber or metal? Pretty sure that the TPMS devices need to have metal valve stems.

I dont have this button either.

    Valve stems are rubber.

I dont see the tpms warning light come on during startup either.

Something's funky there. The 18 sport should have two screens under the little car icon: lane departure (as seen by your photo) and tpms.

I'd take it back and have them check it.

I agree that - it's hard to believe that this would be omitted from your build. But Toyota is kinda crazy about what they include on different trim packages.

Yeah, I have seen some crazy options on here, especially the Canadian packages. It's just mind blowing that the Sport would come with the TSS suite and no TPMS. I thought that some governments require it on all new models.

Edit: Google says that it's not yet a requirement in any Canadian province, unlike the US. I guess that's why. :notsure:

The TSS is their biggest "Selling Point". Don't think they care about the environment.

If I'm reading the manual right, the system has to be initialized before tire pressure is displayed. I have TPMS but nothing in the display. Gonna play with it tomorrow and see if I can get it initialized.

If it isn't initialized, you should still see the screen, it's just that the tire pressures will be dashes instead of a number readout.

Not sure about whether the SR has the screen, though, you might just have the dash light.

    Yup and it doesn't move.

Just confirmed with the dealer i bought it from.

Rubber valve stems and no "learn" button on the dash = no tpms.

Im not dissapointed as i find it useless anyway... and saves me 300$ on my winter tire and wheel setup.

I think it has to do with it being a Canadian model.

Looked at a new 19 TRD sport in the showroom and it too had no TPMS.

Well Now. No issues with tire rotations, replacing wheels and a whole host of stuff.
