Struggling to know what tire will fit RR7-H 17x8.5 Rims with -12 Offset, look beefy but not require any bodymount alterations. I want to go with the Toyo RT Trail LT285/70R17, but there is lots of controversy on whether it will rub. I don’t think I’m going to trail my truck too hard right now, so will this set up work? Thanks in advance for all your input.

With that exact wheel size, exact same lift and same tire size but in a KO2 I do not rub 99% of the time on the street. For normal on road driving it will be fine. Some bumps at an angle at speed it will slightly rub. All of this is assuming you get an alignment that is decent…

I will be doing a CMC at some point but that was always my plan with this wheel size/offset and 285s. If you DO NOT want to do a CMC ever, and plan to be off road, I’d go 265s. Or, if you don’t mind a mild rub here and there on pavement, the 285s will be fine.

265's aren't going to look right. Get the 285's.

Thanks for the responses and thread link. I definitely don’t want to do 265 and would at min go up to 275. But I think I’m going to go for it with the 285s. At some point I will CMC, but my rig is still pretty new and I’m just not there yet.
