I have an iPhone with wireless charging and the Ram Mount version thats hold an Apple MagSafe charging disc. The charging disc usually connects via USB-C to the Apple 20W power supply plug. My goal is to direct wire to the trucks 12V system running a new wire to the battery, or using and empty fuse slot or tap into an accessory wire. I figured I could send 12V+ to (Something - need help insert here) ground the -wire and use a pigtail USB-C female receiver to connect the MagSafe charger. I want it to be safe and clean. Looking for guidance. Thanks for any help.

connect to the wires behind the cigarette lighter port. it's already fused at 10A, and comes on/off with the ignition.

I just did this same thing last weekend. Get this and an add-a-circuit fuse. I got the DMM with two 1” balls

    1. Taco Garage's Dash Mount Hidden Plate (Single or Multi-mount)
    2. TG's 1" Ball
    3. TG's Aluminum Mounting Arm
    4. TG's Stealth Charger for USB-C (includes mount)
    5. Peak Design's Magsafe Charger/Mount Combo (1" ball included)
    6. Generic Amazon Flat + 90 degree USB-C Cable
    All in cost: $200

($85 of this is the Peak Design charger, which is definitely one of the pricier options out there compared to alternatives, but you can tell right away it is a high quality product)

I wanted the same things it sounds like you may be after: wireless Magsafe charging, minimal visible cables, minimal driving obstruction, minimal "arms" holding the phone, and most of all, easy and quicker than anything else to mount to when getting in/out of the truck.

I landed on the following and to me, is the cleanest all-in-one solution I could possibly put together and could not be happier. It holds my iPhone 15 Pro perfectly fine even on forest trails and rough terrain with very little visible vibration. Yes, I am using a Magsafe phone case too, and it works identically in terms of holding strength with or without the case as far as I can tell.

Also worth mentioning, it is very easy to position your phone in a spot here that does NOT block your AC vent NOR does it block any of your road view whatsoever.

The Magsafe compatible case I am using is the Mous Limitless 5.0
