These are the original tires on my ‘14. They are all about like this. Is it time to get some new ones on there due to the cracking? They do not lose any air or anything. Yet....

I would replace. Suck because they do have some good tread left but once they start cracking, time to replace

8-ish years is a good run.

8 years: you got some good life out of them. I usually replace every 5 if I haven't worn them.

Time for new tires. Start shopping those St Paddy's sales.

Compound has as much to do with grip than tread depth, and compound deteriorates with age & UV exposure.

Most tires have lost their compound based grip in 4-5 years.

It's why it makes sense to buy tires with tread ratings that are close to what you'd actually drive in that time period.

TLDR. Yes, you need new tires.

I would replace. How many miles? I would think not that much given it's a 14 and still threads...

Replace soon. Shortly before Christmas I stopped at a local restaurant to pick up some special kimchi based hot sauce that they distribute and as I was parking, I heard the rather unmistakable sound of someone trying to drive on a flat tire. I flagged down the elderly lady driving and told her to pull into a parking spot and provided she had a jack and spare I would be happy to change it for her. What I see in your pic is exactly what her tires looked like especially that crack running along the sidewall just below the edge of the tread. If/when that lets loose you can be in deep shit real fast.

Yup, they are kaput! 6-8 years is the “normal “ life of a tire.

UV radiation is the killer of tires if miles aren't
