Time to buy a new battery, I've had it tested twice and it failed both times. The truck is still starting and running just fine, but I don't want to push it to where I'm stranded somewhere. I've found 2 decent priced batteries. first one is from Oreillyauto, and the other is from Auto zone.I'm leaning towards auto zone, since I now have one of theirs that's lasted 7 years. I don't need any heavy duty extra power for my stock truck

Anyone using either of these batteries and opinions.

Well that's the going price here in my area of the world, and they sell higher priced ones. Please inform me brother, where you are finding and buying a blemished battery that meets the criteria for that cheap. Enlighten me.

Batteries and tires are 2 things I never use until they fail. Batteries get replaced every 6 years...no matter the warranty or how good they appear to be working. Pep Boys has good sales on batteries right now, 25% off. All their batteries are made by Johnson are are usually good quality. Just replaced the one in my wife's Venza with this Champion battery last week. https://www.pepboys.com/champion-agm-battery-group-size-24f/product/2071574?quantity=1

Those blemished batteries are most likely used batteries. Either been defected out and actually tested good or sat on a shelf for more than 18 months somewhere and turned into a used/blemished battery. Also the batteries pep boys, duralast, excide, any many more who made by Johnson controls are now named clarios and is 1 of the main 3 battery manufacturer in the world! Interstate makes their own, clarios and then there’s another that I can’t remember. Honestly most batteries are the same on the market. Also Optimas are made by Clarios now and I have a red top 35 group in my 1st gen

Also, I end up out in the middle of nowhere on hunting trips and just like to have that piece of mind that I have a good fresh battery. Cheap insurance on my book rather than the blems.

Don’t blame you there, nice to know you have a brand new battery when you need it and don’t have to worry about it.

    30 month free replacement.
They’ve been good to me. I brought a battery out of my in-laws Volvo that they purchased 2 yrs prior. No questions asked replaced for free

I have been running East Penn Manufacturing seconds 1989 when I moved not far from the plant and Factory store .

The smallest case blemish will cause a battery to be a second.

Not like they can`t completely recycle a defective battery

Most of my battery failures are caused by forgetting to pull the battery from a project it goes dead and freezes and cracks

Mine last as long the full priced batteries

I've been getting 6-7 years out of the Duralast batteries I've been using in my '96 Tacoma. I use the step down from the gold.

After working at AutoZone changing out batteries a bunch in south tx where batteries last 3 years I feel like I'd chime in

Walmart batteries don't last for shit most I swapped out were less than a year old

The ones that supposed me the most were made In Japan Panasonic batteries

That and made in Germany bmw and mercades batteries

I replaced my battery with Duralast Gold. It’s only been 2 months but I expect a couple years out of it.

I’ve had good luck with the wm ever start maxx batteries. Used them in multiple vehicles and all lasted many years.
