    Hello everyone,

Does anyone have any experience or advice to offer regarding tie down straps for a car trailer? My neighbor recently purchased a new car hauler and offered to let me use it whenver I want. Since I do a fair amount of drag racing during the year I thought this would be a good opportunity to use my truck to trailer my car to the track but need to gear-up before doing so.

Looking on e-Bay I came across this deal for a set of 4 axle/wheel straps for $80 shipped. Thoughts?

I use 4 3" straps when towing my 64 1/2 Mustang to and from shows, though I can't really help you out with where to get them as a buddy who runs a towing company got them for me from one of his suppliers, it might be overkill and the the 2 inch straps may be fine but considering how much is tied up in the Mustang the 200 bucks I spend on the pro-grade straps was worth it to me.

    Regards,

    Adam

Adam, thanks for the advice. I've got a couple more towing questions if you don't mind helping me with them. I'll shoot you a pm.
