I recently cleaned the posts on my battery and now the idle is too slow. There is no check engine light. I noticed a youtube to reset the TPS, but no help. Would a code reader help to reset the TPS or perhaps greaseless contact cleaner. If neither of these help, next step is a new throttle body?? THANK YOU!!!

This is perfectly normal after a battery disconnect. The ECU needs to relearn the correct parameters for the correct idle RPM. However, your throttle body could be gunked up allowing less airflow when the butterfly is closed. If the throttle body and MAF sensor haven’t been cleaned in a while, now would be a good time.

    Thank You.
I have tried to remove the air box(?) attached to the throttle body, but I had problems with the tube on the firewall side. Is there anything I need to be aware of? Thank you.

Give it a couple of drive cycles and it should clear up. Be careful with that little tube on the back side, a few folks have broken off the nipple while tugging that unit out of place.
