Found an old set of Lodio Drive off road wheels in my garage from about 20 years ago. I put it on my Taco to see how it looks. The photo of the wheel on the rear isn’t actually “on” the vehicle. Anyway what are your thoughts / opinions? How is the color combo?

take the barrels off and paint the spokes something else, like gold.

From what these fetch money-wise I would NOT refinish the centers as it may reduce the value.

Present day, Lodio Drives aren't expensive.
Shipping from Japan is often as much (or more) than the wheels themselves. Not that that makes them any less awesome though. I have a set myself and love them.

I dunno, $900 for a set of wheels is expensive IMO...at least when it comes to painting them and erasing the wordings.

I think those are awesome. Something retro and fairly unique in an otherwise uniform sea of Tacomas with dark SCS and Method wheels. The blue isn't really my cup of tea but not as bad as I'd expected. Nothing a quick coat of paint couldn't fix.

I just did some googling and actually there's a set of these local to me. I already have some wheels I really love otherwise I'd totally consider them.

@savethewheels - those Six spoke wheels are nice. If you don’t mind where are they selling those?

And you guys are right, most of the Tacos and other trucks have black wheels. These are legit JDM 3 piece wheels that aren’t very available. Maybe I’ll get some new rubber and throw them on soon. Kinda on the fence about the blue though...

That set of Six is for sale on YAJ.

So the blue on your set is most likely anodizing, which if you split the wheels is quite simple to remove with Easy Off Oven Cleaner.

The wheels are awesome! Not a huge fan of the color combo, but nothing a trip to the powder coater wouldn't fix. I'd do the centers in flat black and the barrels in gloss black with stainless hardware. Just my opinion.

Any idea what the weights are on these Lodio's? I'm wondering how they compare to OEM or the average aftermarket options.
