Personally I think you can do better. In my experience, they’re expensive, don’t last as long as one would expect, they get loud, don’t wear amazingly, and the fact that most sizes are load range e doesn’t help. :crapstorm:

The General Grabber AT2’s on the other hand, are great.

Got a set ^ of the falken wildpeak mt's

Recently went off road and they did well, on the trails I had a solid chuck of metal stuck in the think part of the tread thank god, any AT would have punctured for sure. They look good and aren't loud. Price was good as well

I have them on my spare set of wheels, the previous owner said he had put about 40k on them before he upgraded to goodyear mtr's. I put about 7k before my new wheel and tire combo went on and they were quiet with lots of tread left.

Imo they last plenty long, wear great and don't get loud like duratracs do. I like em and the fact that they're made by Michelin is a plus.

I have around 25k miles on my 265/75/16 KO2's. I have been very happy with the tires and they are better than the KO's they replaced. Mine have worn well, even, and are quiet. I would purchase them again. I should get at least 60k out of them.

Sounds about common. They're great tires. I'm thinking people who have had issues possibly didn't keep up with rotations, have front end problems or maybe got unlucky with tires from a bad batch.

I'm thinking the same. I try to rotate every 3-5k depending on how they look and drive. I have an all new front end as well, ball joints, bushings, shocks, etc... here are mine with 25k.

Not bad. Plenty of life left in em. Have you noticed them getting noticeably louder?

My 34X10.5X17 (load range D) KO2's have 10K on them now and are wearing evenly with no noise (I do rotate them and keep them properly inflated). This is a great all around tire that does have a softer compound than any of the above mentioned tires. They are simply outstanding on slick rock. Mud is not their forte, but they work great in rain, snow and ice. Yes they are expensive.

Also, in the wheel and tire section there are specific thread for all the tires mentioned above. Ton of info on tires on TW.

I have not noticed any noise increases. They have a slight hum, which I do enjoy....

Have about 5k miles on a set of 265/75r16 BFG AT KO2s.

Haven't had the chance to run them through snow yet (waiting for Colorado to get the act together already).

My Tacoma is a daily driver, so I didn't wanna drop money on a set of over-aggressive tires. These do well on pavement and have done well on dry offroad trails in the Rockies. No real rock-crawling type obstacles yet.

They're not noisy (IMHO). They are expensive. I would like to put a set on my F150 (35s) but at almost $400/piece... I'll seek life elsewhere.

I was considering this tire along with 255/80r17 and 275/70r17. How much cutting was necessary to get them to fit? I expect you have a lift? 54 lbs seems like a great weight for a 34

I love my BFGs, my only complaint is that they throw the rocks and chip your paint in front of your rear wheel. I’ve always gotten good wear out of them and never had them get loud. I usually run the e rated ones though which hurts ride quality a little bit but have stronger side walls. Plus I have a in bed camper so they help with the extra weight of that.

    ome 886 springs-shocks suspension, bfg’s 285’s. Camburg uca
Don’t last long as light as a Tacoma is?....... maybe on my 3/4 ton F250. I have 35k on my Toyota’s set and they still look new. I do rotate every 5k miles on 265/75/16 load E. I love bfg ko2’s, I have a set on my wife’s 4 runner as well.

No cutting, just SPC UCAs with Kings in the front for 1 1/2 of lift. They do rub just a touch on the front fender, front lip. I even run mud flaps front and back.

Mine have worn great with about 11k on them, I messed up bad running stock UCA's with busted ball joints for like 3k and now they're rounded terribly. Other than that the grab like nobody's business on the trails and even sand. Next time I'll get a bigger set, and keep my suspension maintained. (I have since upgraded to TC mid travel uppers. No complaints or any further rounding issues.
