    Hey Michael,

I have had this lift since about a month after purchasing my truck (14 months) and I wish I would have done more research on TW first. The lift functions fine for a truck that spends most of it's time on the road, but if you're like me you will end up just wanting to rip it out and put something a little more off-road capable on.

It really all depends on what you plan to do with your truck in the future.

Here is what I ended up with, no rubbing. It will fit 285's with 0 offset for sure, but it will definitely rub off road. Hope this helps.

    Rough Country 3 inch
    17x9 Ballistic Jester 0 offset
    265/70r17 Cooper Discoverer STT's

    Also, pics.

    Spacer lift?
What is the goal for lifting? Function or form?
About to get a little confusing; I rode in my fiance's brother's girlfriend's Heep that has a 3" rough country lift and the name is perfect for the ride: ROUGH.

I would look into saving up for 5100's or a full OME kit. Like stated above, if you are going to eventually be taking the rig off pavement, you will want something better. Do it once, do it right. Buy once, cry once.

Sound advice, this. As a rule, RC will work for what it's intended, looks. Function is usually sacrificed, at least if you plan to do more than drive around on pavement looking good. It will take more than RC to accomplish good looks and function, as a rule.

had one in the shop today for the broken spring recall, 285/18 tires. it looked good sitting on the ground, in the air with the tires off it looked kinda half thought out, ride was rough and it wanders a bi drivng down the roadt, for the trail it would be OKKKKKKKKK, but for a daily driver...........after a few days your gonna wish you left it alone

IMO I like the lift kit...It levels the front with the rear and rides nice...mind you I don't do a lot of OR

see im just wanting something to make it alittle better because right now i have a 2.5 leveling kit, i hate the "bro lean" my truck has.. and i dont do any serious offroading other then the few mudding in a field with my buddies. and im in highschool so not alot of money in my pocket to get the best quality in everything.

i get that people don't want to spend if they aren't regularly driving off road and go right to the spacer lifts. the thing is, be it on dirt or pavement; an abrupt bump/speed-bump or any other irregularity is going to bang through the entire truck on a spacer lift whereas a decent suspension lift will suck it up.
i wouldn't waste my time on something that appears capable yet really isn't

    3 inch lift
I know it’s late on this thread but figure I’d post my opinion for anyone who stumbles on here for the same question. I have had a 3” rough country lift on my truck for 2 Years now. Go mudding with my buddies through a few trails here at home and haven’t had any issues at all. Maybe it was just how it was put on, who knows. I had a buddy who works for Joe Gibbs racing put mine on so he was very capable. As far the the ride goes it’s nothing great but nothing bad either in my opinion, my buddy has a 2017 Ford raptor and obviously doesn’t come close to that but it’s good enough for me. Im no expert but my experience so far has been fine. I would say just make sure you know exactly what you are doing when putting it on or have someone who knows what your doing put it on and don’t do anything crazy.

I put a 4 inch RC lift on my truck, rides great and tracks good going down the road. No serious off-roading in this part of the country just corn and bean fields. Professional install and alignment can make a big difference.

Yours is probably a drop bracket lift, right? Not $250 spacer lift.
