    Hi everyone,
Just a general question about suspension on the Tacoma; does anybody have anyone or know of anyone that has old man emu suspension in their truck?
I’d like to upgrade my suspension but not willing to pay a lot to have my truck ride smoother

I have had the ome kit and it's nice. Little lift and handles rough roads slightly better. "Smoother" no. It makes the truck ride a little rougher actually. But it's give and take. I really liked the rear it can handle more weight and stopped me from smashing into my bump stops all the damn time. Have the Dakar leaf pack

Probably the most popular full suspension lift system on this site.

Define “pay a lot”. OME full set ups are quite pricey.

Search will find the answers. Lots have OME on their rigs. I have the OME light duty dakar pack, with Bilstien 5100 shocks.

Alongside emu, I’ve checked with ICON and Bilstein...I don’t wanna spend a whole lot of money for suspension since the truck’s gonna be 10 yrs old in June but been drivin for 7 yrs with just shy of 140k miles.
What would y’all recommend for the price and reliability cause I live in WNY and the roads out here are horrendous even though I do my best to avoid potholes and whatnot.

OME and Toytec are very popular on this site. Both are very good choices imo. Either would do great

Yup perfectly said, I am trying to get front page stickies done on this stuff, so we don't have to see it 100 times a day.

Full one kit here with Dakars. Love it! Feels and drives like a truck ought to. Handle's whatever I've thrown at it great. Had it on there for 6 years.

Again define your budget. Suspension lifts and especially upgrades are going to be costly. An OME set up with UCAs and Dakars are going to run about $1,800 for just parts.

Also I think its sad you feel your Tacoma is too old at only 10 years old.

Old Man Emu dakar pack and extended travel 5100 shocks in the rear. OME 887 springs with 5100s up front. Rides just like stock to me.
