    Yes and no. Pro: Instant up tents are convenient as hell and pack away nicely, once you learn how to fold them back up. Con: They do allright in light weather, but heavy rain/wind is a no-go, even with guylines.

    A good option if you are picnicking or only camp when good weather is guaranteed.

    And at that point, if no kids are involved in the equation, hammock is far more comfortable in my opinion

    If you just want some shade/privacy that thing is probably fine but any kind of weather is going to destroy it. If you want something more substantial the Clam or Gazelle tents are pretty nice.

    They make great tumbleweeds, even in light winds! Watched several float away across the Colorado River last time we were there.

    If it's flexible enough to fold by hand, it probably won't work well in Oklahoma, where we literally sing about the wind.
    I've seen Coleman classic tents rip up in some of the storms we get.
    I bought the ruggedized version of my RTT for a reason.
