Hi I posted earlier in tires and wheels.. no response yet.

Will tundra cast wheel lug nuts from the mid 2000's work on 2019 Tacoma cast wheels?

    Thanks

You are looking for M12-1.5 lug nuts (Toyota PN 9008494001). If you follow the hyper link and expand the section for "What this fits" you will notice the Tundra is absent. So no. 2007 - 2021 Tundras use a M14-1.5 lug nut if my research is correct so you will not be able to use them.

Edit: any particular reason why you are trying to use Tundra lug nuts? You can get any color m12-1.5 lugs that work with your Taco for less that 50 bucks for a set of 24.

These thread on perfectly .. it's the part that inserts into the wheel opening it's diameter that is in question. These lug nuts fit fine on my 93 pickup too.

You asked "will they work" not "will they thread". There is a reason Toyota lists the M12-1.5s for the Tacoma and the M14-1.5s for the Tundra. The center bore is different.

Ok I got out the digital caliper and the inside of these Tundra lugs is 10.57 mm so the outside diameter of the tread cut is 12 mm they are for a 12 x 1.5 wheel stud.

    that answers that

the 14 x 1.5 are for 4x4 Tundras for those years you listed.

I've got a set of 24 OEM lugs from my 2022 SR5 that had alloy wheels. They were on the truck for like 2000 miles before I sold off the stock wheels. They basically look like these. I'm working a double today but I can get you a pic of them tomorrow. Just send me a PM if interested.

2mm in thread size is the difference (14mm - 12mm = 2mm). 1.5 is the thread pitch so Tacos and Tundras run the same thread pitch but your stud size is 2mm smaller on the Taco. This is why they will not work, along with center bore differences if the internet is to be believed.

mic, thanks. I just measured inside diameter of the lugs and the measurement was 10.57 mm on the inside of the treads so the outside of the threads I would think is nearer 12mm. I guess these lugs probably came off an earlier Tundra..

If memory serves, I think that first gen Tundras had old school 6 lug hubs, like we are all used to on Tacomas, LCs and 4Rs
