Hey guys it’s been a long time since I have checked in to the forum. Last time I did it was when I had my 17 tacoma. Anyways I was thinking of selling my 06 Tundra because I’m buying a new truck. My Tundra had its frame replaced in 2015 and I am wondering if I should put that in the listing. To me it is a plus and something I would look for but I’m guessing to the average buyer that might sway them away. What do you guys think? The truck is great looking and only has 90k on it also a warranty so I’m not real worried about it selling but I also don’t want to shoot myself in the foot. As you can see it’s a good looking unit.

Thats a sweet truck. You should definitely be upfront about the frame. I think it's more of a positive than a negative. I just got rid of my 2006 Tundra. Great trucks! With only 90k miles and a new frame it's definitely desirable. You should post it on the Tundras.com forum. There is market for these low mile 1st Gens.

Okay thanks for the input yeah I figured whenever anyone called on it I would tell them about it. I’m a straight shooter if it wasn’t a great truck I would just trade it in. Just didn’t know if I should advertise it that way. And yeah it is a pretty sweet truck if money didn’t matter I would keep it but with interest rates the more you can put up front the better.

I have a 06 DC so I keep tabs on the FB 1st gen groups. I would disclose the frame replacement and take a ton of pics of it for your ad. I see constant posts from prospective buyers asking others if the frame looks too rusty to buy. Most non Toyota buyers would have googled about common 1st gen issues and will probably be concerned about the frame as well.

most are going to ask you about LBJ replacement or if yours was part of the recall.

There may have been something else I replaced at the time I’m not positive though, I would have to look back and see or crawl under the truck and take a gander. I still haven’t decided yet if I’m seriously going to sell it or not it’s kind of a hard truck to let go. It’s a, I should sell it, I will have three others with the new one coming but I don’t really want to kind of deal. I have a 03 Chevy Silverado with 225k on it so that’s not even worth selling, I have a 15 ram 2500 Cummins with the 6 speed manual that is my forever truck only 60k on it, and I have a gmc canyon at4x on the way. Oh yeah and the hot rod a 1987 Toyota Tercel.0B09C3F7-9C37-416F-96D8-5DC6380B05F4.jpg

I call it my hot rod haha I think it was pumping out a Savage 62 horsepower back in 87. I’m sure some of those ponies have ran away since then.

Yeah my buddy bought it off of me. Plus side is he said I could buy it back off of him in a couple years when my boy turns 16.

That's disappointing. I just saw this and am looking to sell my AC for a double-cab now that I have a kid.
