How effective would these bump stops be at making my ride smoother? I don't tow or haul anything. I also have a 2 inch lift in the rear. Would that make these less effective? Thanks In advance.

    All of them.
Wouldn't smooth your ride at all. It will make bottoming out less violent but shouldn't be engaging just driving.

I have sumos I use for bump stops now. Don’t contact them unless hauling heavy stuff with Deaver stage 2 expo pack. Before the leaf pack I was riding on them all the time and they were firm but softer than hitting the factory bumps. 612-40s for me. Can occasionally find a deal on them.

I have fox shocks for a 2-3 inch lift. And old man emu lift springs that give me a 2 inch lift in the back.

they are very stiff until you have a load on them. they are meant to work progressively and get softer and softer with more and more weight. so they would technically be more harsh when not towing or hauling since that is what they are meant for. Additionally, no one talks about how they limit your up travel offroad. so your truck wont have as much flex with them offroad when stuffing a tire in the wheel well.

All that being said, I absolutely love mine. I tow and haul A LOT. So they are invaluable to me and I can even unscrew them in the rear when offroad in high flex situations...so thats a bonus too. I'm on my second set in 60K miles

Plus there are also 3 grades of them, which most people might not know.

1000lb (i wore a set of these out)

1500lb (i have a set of these now and they work great for me but are definitely stiffer)

    2500lb

I use the blue Sumo springs and really like them. I’m lifted 2.5” in the rear and they don’t normally contact the frame unless I’m going over a bump. Their progressive nature makes it so that I don’t really feel bottoming out, ever.

    I highly recommend them.

I caught mine on warehouse deals for around $130 but ya, they are pricy for what they are. They do work well though for both extended bump stops and for heavy loads.

wow those have gone up in price... I ran the sumos for a quite awhile until I got OME springs in the back and did the ubolt flip and added the wheelers superbumps. I have my set I'd sell ya for cheap if I can dig them out of my shed. The catch is I cut the top little donut off, I didn't want them quite as tall as they were feeling a bit harsh to me offroad. They were great after that

I have the blue ones front and back, lifted 2.5 in the front and 1 inch rear. They make bumps softer and the stability feels better too. Big improvement over stock.

I found the front Sumos to help over harsh bumps, it felt a little smoother in the front.
