I am told there is no fuel filter in my 2009 Tacoma. Is this true? Just drive it forever with no fuel issues?

Did toyota tell you this? They told me I didn't have to change transmission fluid.

The person or persons who told you this are seriously in need of a nut kick... The fuel filter is located in the tank with the pickup/pump. This doesn't need to be serviced for a Loooong time. More often, you will need to replace the pump at the same time of service.

No replaceable fuel filter on your Tacoma. Filter/pump is 1 piece in tank.

Installed Overhead Compass and Temperature Display along with outside temperature sensor and wiring; LED lights reverse backup; LED license plate lights; Added GTA Bluetooth Audio kit to stock radio for iphone audio; Spare tire steel braided air hose extension connection to rear bumper; Installed new headlights along with new bulbs PIAA H4 XTreme and for fog lights PIAA H10 XTreme bulbs. Installed new hood with "hood-scoop". Installed Predator Side Steps. Replaced front chrome grill with customized color matched (Desert Sand Mica) grill with added TOYOTA lettering (also in matched color), installed and secured tailgate anti-theft devices. Also installed a new external TPMS monitor for all 4 tires.
Curious, has anyone in TW installed this kit from URD?

If so I sure would like to hear your thoughts, opinions and reviews on it?

As for the actual fuel filter, well it is located with the fuel pump in the gas tank.
You need to purchase the whole fuel pump in order to replace just the fuel filter. From the dealer, I think the price for the fuel pump is somewhere between $600 - $800 bucks (or maybe a bit higher?) also that's not including taxes and charge for installation, well over $1000 bucks!

Just another way for the big motor companies to make money to force you to buy only from them at their outrageous prices. Yes, there are some online that are cheaper but will it actually be compatiable and work like OEM part?

EDIT: Here is more info about Toyota's Tacoma fuel pump and fuel filter placement in the gas tank, for your reading enjoyment of course!
