The truck carrying my new 23 TRD Pro Tacoma to the dealership, broke down a few days ago. Apparently the hydraulic mechanism to lower the trucks is broken as well and they can’t even take them off without damaging them? I’m on day 2 of “ownership” with no truck. Has anyone else gone through this?

Your best next move is to go find the truck that broke down and hire a crane to lift your truck off....
Or, do like a normal person and wait for them to fix their truck.

Just wait for them to call you after they clean it and do any dealer modifications... Next best move would be to cruise TW and figure out what's the biggest tire and wheel combo you can fit with no lift. That was probably going to be your next question anyway.

@jlemmond The truck has been broken down off the side of a major intestate for multiple days now, and there is no progress. Even someone from the Toyota dealership said they are confused as to why nothing is happening.

Why did you buy the truck before you have even seen it?

@5nahalf Im about to do that lol. The waiting process for this truck has been one of the worst experiences of my entire life. From getting no updates from the dealer, to all of the delays and date changes and now this. They called me on Sunday John and had said “truck will be here in the AM!” So I drove 4 hours for them to say sorry truck isn’t here whoops. Not sure what your process was like

Just have to wait, shit happens outside of our control.
How do you already own something that hasn’t been delivered and presumably hasn’t gone through the mandatory Toyota PDI process?

I ordered a rav4 in october of last year.... I got a call 2 weeks ago that its finally being built. Nearly a year wait for it.
Just be patient, look at mods, and order all the things that you want to add.

@fourfourone The truck was allocated, i put down $1,000 back in May. They called me Sunday saying the truck would be here Monday. I show up for my apt on Wednesday to sign paper work and drive truck off the lot, and to my surprise they hit me with a “so the truck carrier broke down a few days ago, and your truck will be here in the am and we will have one of our associates deliver it to your house” I said ok great, shit happens, whatever. Signed the paperwork and now today they hit me with a “so the driver of the truck can’t figure out how to fix it and we are having problems trying to reach the transport company” And now here I am. 2 days into my payment with no truck.

Pretty sure he thinks his "ownership" started the day it was "supposed to be delivered". Some people have little expierience with how the real world works outside of there personal POV.

Your truck will show up OP. Shit happens and the world keeps turning. Be patient.

Bad idea. Never sign before you see the truck. Now they have you by the balls if you see something on the truck you don't agree with.

@jlemmond Yes. This is a major Toyota Dealership in Idaho. They said it was at the dealership, so I drove 2 hours there. They said whoops it looks like it’s coming in tonight, I said cool. It was suppose to be an easy fix for the trucking problem. But now it’s quite the opposite.
