The Tacozilla officially died in Dallas today

Went to a car show in Dallas today and the "Tacozilla" build was on loan at the K. Baily Huthcens Convention Center from Toyota's Head Quarters in Plano. Two Exec's from Toyota HQ told me the model will not go into production and the project/build is officially over. I asked if the prototype was for sale and if so, how much. They declined both questions. This was the most beautiful RV build I have ever seen on a Tacoma frame. I didn't think it was possible to install a kitchen, bathroom/shower, dining room table and chairs, and a queen size bed above the cab in a fully enclosed compartment. Its just a shame they can't make some more of these beautiful machines....

Seems the soothsayers at Toyota don't expect the price of petrol to decrease significantly in the foreseeable future.

 

This was the original factory camper, actually still have a TEQ oil cap from one on my 2nd gen, yup, still fits.

Yep and about 150K a pop or more.

 

Oh yes, I’d go for the factory one before the kimbo. Neither since I really have a choice, my knees will stick to a cabin thanks very much.
