How hard was it to remove the lower valance?

 

Relatively easy if you know what you're looking for. There are two blue clips that are a pain in the butt, they're slightly hidden towards the frame of the truck and need a screw driver to push the release and slide our at the same time. It's a small space and have to do it with one hand. After those two blue clips, there are about 6 clips that you can easily push down the part that holds it in and slide it out.

I can take some pictures if you like so you know what to look for?

 

Nice truck man. Do you have any future mods coming up? Just out of curiosity, what kind of tonneau cover do you have? How do you like it?

 

I do have some coming up. I have my old exhaust system from the truck before I'm getting put on soon. And tires rims and a lift down the road also. Way further I have plans for sound system and viper alarm. Plus a few small mods like the reverse light mod and stuff.

It's a bakflip fibermax. I love it! For a while it wasn't lining up right and I called bakflip and they told me how to fix it, but after that I love it. Easy to use, seals the bed from water and rain, and it's really sleak and low profile.

Once you remove the grille you should see down right in front of the radiator. You will see a series of 6 (I think) of these clips



Before you can unclip this those you can to find these Blue clips, they are on either side and are a pain (for me at least). They're right next to the frame



So remove the blue clips, then just along the line and slide out the black clips (they're attached to the valance).

Once they're all out the valance will be loose but won't budge, so tap it with a little bit of force a few times and it will pop out.

Then reinstall you just push it back in and all those black clips go back to their spot and clip in, then put the blue ones back

 

sweet, I hope its as easy as you make it sound. I see mine and just cant figure out why it is dark grey...

 

You shouldn't have an issue, it's just simple plastic push clips

But yeah that's why I took mine off and dipped it black. Couldn't stand that it was a grey/black and it didn't match anything on the truck
