Has anyone dipped their stock SR5 wheels gold or bronze? I cannot find images of what it would look like anywhere. Super white over gold/bronze is the look I am going for but building on a budget...

Would the clearcoat/gloss plasti dip go well over decals? I’ve got custom bedside decals and when drying/waxing/whatever, the edges of the decal always catch on the towels. I’d like to protect it but not sure if this would work well for that, or if it’ll look odd with that area having a gloss coat.

Hey guys. My paint is gone on my 2015 MGM roof and hood. Anyone with a 2nd gen MGM truck dip the roof and hood and have pics to share? I already dipped my wheels, so I have some experience.

Didn’t find a plasti dip but this rattle can regular paint it is pretty much spot on. Ended up painting the letters gray then putting on Red vinyl letter decals for 20 bucks from Amazon.

Anyone PlastiDip prior to tires being mounted to the rims? Wondering if this stuff holds up during the tire mounting process? Got a cheap set of '03 TRDs and the finish is so-so.

Probably easier to paint after mounting. The overspray comes off the rubber real easy

Couple cans on the grille, subtle but looks a lot better in my opinion.

So I plasti dipped my center caps over the weekend and it turned out very well...

prior to that i hand painted the Toyota Logo White..

**Can I simply peel the black plasti dip out of the emblem to show off the white h logo underneat I did? What's the best method to do that if possible?

If I can't all black would be ok too but I do like the detail of the white logo....

I would want it to look like the below picture
(not my work this was from user vierzwanzig)

First time use with Plasti dip fwiw...

That's too small an emblem to rely on peeling the dip. On the back of the cap, there should be 2 prongs that when squeezed together they should pop out. That's how it is on mine, anyway.

Where peeling tends to work is when you overspray an emblem on the body for example. You can usually peel it off the painted panel and it will self cut at the junction of emblem & panel. Small things won't work so easily.

Yes if I understand correctly... there's no way to separate the cap and the logo as they are all one piece... all black would be ok too but I do like the white as it matches my white truck...

Those decals are sweet! Did you try the clear dip?

Did you give it a shot? I need to do this too, I did it on my old mustang but I don't have any pictures of that. I'm sure it would look good on yours, black roofs are good accent pieces.

Plasti-Dip breaks really well on edges and seams when you go to peel it off, it doesn't look like you have that option with that cap though. If you can find a little round sticker or decal deal that fits over the logo right you can stick that on and then spray the dip. In that scenario you'll want to do however many coats you want and then on the last coat spray it a bit heavier and then peel the sticker off the logo while the dip is still wet.
If you let it dry with the sticker on still it'll dry the the sticker too and when you go to peel it off the dip will usually tear.

I've been dipping vehicles and other stuff as a hobby since 2011, it's pretty cool stuff to work with. If you don't like it just peel it off!
