Hey guys! So today I found a nice cheap light from princess auto, after figuring out how it works I have the best under hood light EVER made. you will want to do this, so here's my write up!

    What you'll need:

    One Self grounding light
alligator clip that fits over the battery post
    spare wire
    [IMG]

So, the self grounding light can be magnetic, or just a metal light, Mine is a metal light with a little post coming off of it, I can just push the post into the holes in the inside of the hood for my ground.

For mine, I rewired the entire light and it worked great!. so you simply attach the power wire to the alligator clip. and ground your light, if you can't find a self grounding light, just use 2 aligator clips and run a ground wire from light to aligator clip.

Now anytime you need underhood light, you have it at your finger tips!
Mine is nice and small and would fit in half a ziploc bag.

give it a shot! it's worth it!
here's my outcome, one of my fav "mods" to date!

Looks good, cheap, and simple. I always wondered why my Tacoma didnt have an under-hood light like my chevy 1/2ton did..... guess i'm just going to have to do something like this.
