Very nice. Once you get some decent mileage in on them, let us know how they turn out.
In the meantime, how is the initial ride feeling?

@VoodooView being that its a new tire to the market, inquiring minds want to know. Ride, noise, off road abilities and such. Looking forward to your personal reviews. The rig looks fantastic by the way.

Initial thoughts (only driven about 15 miles, haha, so likely won’t say anything groundbreaking):
Road noise is hardly noticeable, unless the radio is turned down and I’m listening for it. The tires feel heavier than factory (was running the stock wrangler adventure before), so this was to be expected. Ride does feel harder than factory tires, also expected. Tires make the truck feel slightly less stable at highway speeds but have only tested this for a very short amount of time.

Should be testing them out on a moderate 3/5 trail in the coming weeks and will know a lot more.

These things completely changed the look of the truck, and all for the better! Have already gotten multiple compliments.

In my opinion, these tires look AWESOME! And I am very happy with the purchase so far. Looking forward to the 50k miles to come.

Full disclaimer: added a 2”F/1.5”R right before getting the tires.

    Thank you for initial details.
Did you happen to get an alignment after the tires were installed too? Sometimes that changes after changing sizes. So that may be why you might have some strangeness going on at highway speeds.

Good point! I did get an alignment. Drove the highway there and back, but a very short distance. On the way home, I may have been too focused on why my steering wheel still wasn’t straight to notice the difference haha. That said, it’s going back in to be put back on the machine.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
I am looking at a set of these for my 4runner. I bought a set of Toyo RT Trails for my Tundra and do NOT like the way they ride.

Check Discount Tire, that’s where these came from. They also have a 30 day trial so take them back if you don’t like them.

Could you elaborate on what you didn't like about the Toyo RT Trails? I just ordered a set of these to be installed next week, for my 4Runner...Heard nothing but good things so far. Curious to hear your thoughts.

@TRD-Troll if there is any value to the old tires, Discount Tire can give a trade in. We leave the amount of trade up to the manager of the store. DM coming your way.

Update: Driven roughly 1k miles and completed 3 trails (rating 3-5) in NW CO.

The second alignment resolved all stability issues at speed. No complaints off-road at all! The tires held lines, and refused to slip on rocks, where my buddy’s Duaratracks seemed to slip. Pictures show some shots from the trails, and the result of testing out the sidewalls. Take them as you wish. Looking forward to an update once we get some snow here in CO
