Alright friends, I've been trying really hard to find wheels that (A) I like and (B) are LIGHT.

We all know the Tacoma's like light drivetrain and low rolling resistance. It seems I'm hard pressed to find wheels that are actually light that I would want to run.

In an attempt to find more options and provide what I've found so far, I wanted to start a thread about it. So, if you know a lightweight wheel, post it up here along with its specs and weight!

Here's a few I've considered on the more aggressive fitment side:

    Black Rhino Chamber - 17x8.5, -18 26lb

    Summit Sierra - 17x9, -25 25.5lb

    Summit Dakar - 17x9, -25 23.5lb

    Falcon T8 Seeker - 17x9, -38 22.35lb

Great thread idea! I searched some for this when I was shopping for wheels and didn't find much good info. Didn't seem to be something people were very interested in. I guess I don't see broken wheels often so maybe it's not an issue but my concern with the lighter, aftermarket wheels would be durability. And the ones I figured I could trust (Volk because forged) were above my budget. That's why I opted for an OEM wheel.

TRD Faux Beadlock comes in at 16x7.5 +10 23.5lbs Just about perfect specs IMO.
    Volk Racing TE37X 16x8 +0 16.1lbs

You’re going to have to look at forged wheels to meet your requirements. Volk TE37 comes to mind. Get out your wallet!

Uh, which one is this? The 2012 FJ Cruiser 17x7 wheels I have are 29.2lbs each with center cap.

I know the weight because I scrapped a set of 4. Total weight 103 lbs for the set. Without TPMS, balance weights, center caps.

Enkei RPT1 are light weight. Not sure on the official weight, but I have seen listings of around 17lb for the 16x8". They also come in 17x9" and 18x9" which is what I am running on the GX.

Hmm.. 103/4 = 25.75lbs each. That's one of the lowest weight 17" OEM alloys, but not 23lbs.

I think I heard from my friend with a Tundra and GX470 that the "4runner PRO/SEMA" wheels are 24lbs a piece.

Their website states "Estimated Weight" 24.00lbs for the 17x9"

Yeah their website is lacking in weight info. I'll weigh my spare 18x9" which is unmounted. I don't remember it being more than 25lbs.

I like the SCS wheels as well - these are probably my top two choices if I were to buy new since it's rare that they come up used.

Those numbers are slightly deceiving, though:
    • F5 17x8.5" are 21lb 11oz (21.6875)
    • Stealth 6 17x8.5" are 22lb 9oz (22.5625)

Forgot to add these! You're what spurred this thread lol.

    Also,

    Konig Countersteer Type X - 16x8, -10 18.55lbs

17's are 20lbs also. They look like wannabe Volk's, though. However, cheaper!

Haha nice! I got the kmc wheels because they were far less expensive than the other options
And at 0 offset they are a little less aggressive in a good way

I sent an email to FN Wheels to get authoratative data on wheel weights and if that includes their center cap.
