It's aso good as any season of Top Gear ever was. As my nephew said "Who would've thought I would miss 3 cranky old British guys talking about cars?"

Not any season. The last few (even before the change of hosts) sucked so much I stopped watching. I'm enjoying Grand Tour, though!

I want to see more specials like TG used to have. Those were always my favourite.

I like the specials like TG had. Hate the 'not the Stig'. The production quality is way better. The killing celebrities is getting old. Wish they had more test drives. The over-the-top fake stuff is getting old. I want to buy a VW battle and make a dune buggy.

The only things I can't stand with the grand tour is:
    The American
    Celebrity Brain Crash
    No Stig :(

for a recent episode when they were in Finland I would've loved to actually see Kimi on the show.

I'm a fan of Clarkson, Hammond and May but The Grand Tour has been a bit boring so far.

I'm glad the show is on.

    But... I have some issues:

They can shitcan the Celebrity Brain Crash and the whole dead celebrity bit. It's not even remotely amusing as a running gag, it's just fucking stupid.

"The American" is a highly annoying mother fucker.

Large portions of the first few episodes seemed unnatural and too scripted. The last episode - the one OP references - was much better. Those guys are never as much fun to watch as when they are fucking off on a challenge and seem to be more spontaneous.

Did I mention that "The American" is an awful idea / character? They should kill him in "Celebrity Brian Crash" and then be done with both of those things.

I agree. "The American" and "Celebrity Brain Crash" need to go in the bin.

The specials have always been the best episodes (Top Gear and The Grand Tour).

I enjoy most of it but one short was terrible and one recurring theme are a bit off putting.

The short at the tactical compound, i about gave up after watching that.

The animal carcasses are just silly. Cut that shit out. Weighing cars on a stupid scale using animals, live and dead, smashing a car up and almost having the whole thing collapse on a convertible.. just not entertaining.

Thats actually where we stopped watching, after that episode we pretty much lost interest. We keep talking about watching it again but never happens.

I agree with what someone mentioned above as well. Some things are just stupid. That who tactical thing was so stupid. First restart or two was funny then just got annoying.

Love Hammond, May, and Clarkson... hate the show. It's too staged and a lot of their stuff is scripted. I miss the improvised stuff from TG and it doesn't really seem like a car show it now seems like an adventure show. I still watch it hoping it gets better.
