I am using an EF River 2 Pro as the primary with a River Pro as a backup. I am not even sure of a battery pack that has a DC5521 port that will support 8A but am looking at the usual suspects. Any ideas you might have would be greatly appreciated!

Yeah. Someone posted that Jackery said "Don't leave it plugged in" or such.
    Replacement was out of stock.

@#$% the Jackery did that? Hope they eventually swapped it out! Funny if you're not supposed to leave it plugged in then how to you keep the cooler powered o_O

Guys, I have figured out warning code 43 fixed. The display (Dometic 4450021433 HMI and Connectivity Display Module for CFX3) is defective and need to be replace. When the display module arrive you need to download 619 config appz to set up your new display with your CFX3. All you need to do is follow the instruction within the appz.

Yes, this is for Dometic CFX3. I have a 95DZ with warning code 43 (communication error). It's should work for other CFX3 model too.

Is your CFX3 still under warranty? If so, have you been able to secure your replacement parts? If not, send me a private message here on TW and I'll get you connected with someone that can assist

I bought my Dometic CFX3 DZ95 on Ebay brand new in the box on Back Friday for $200 less. For that reason, Dometic denied my warranty. They said that they have no way of varifying I am the original owner. Bummer. Anway, the unit is only about 2 years old. I know the compressor is in great shape. I have had the problem with Wifi and Bluetooth for a while before this and I had changed the controller module by the compressor already (DFC20AD) right after I came back from vacation and that got the the unit to work again but on default setting. Freezer @ 0 degree / 55 degree for the other compartment. I've also changed the thermistors too. And just got my display part last week from Boat & RV Accessories for $93.55. I am so glad my unit works again. I am able to set and control everything from the app on the phone.

Note. When ever you're not using the unit disconnect it completely from both power supply (12volts / 110 watts). I had mine on a semi tractor. Clean the inside, leave the lids open and press the OFF button and came back dead with warning code 43 after 2 months. I had one Northstar agm31 and 4 regular batteries and can't even jump start my EU3000is to charge the system up. Everything was completely drained. No alarm, no camera nothing. I had to pull out my EU3000I to charge the system up. And I had to dump the 4 regular acid batteries and upgraded my power supply to all AGM31 and a BougerRV 200w solar panel.

The unit some how restart itself with the lids open after I left for a vacation. That's the reason both of my display & DFC2AD modules both died. Guys, if you use the unit on a regular basis every day. Clean up the fan area as your to do list every 6 months. I pulled the fan out clogged with dust.

I bought a Dometic CFX3 45L and an Ecoflow River 2 Pro power bank that powers it with the 12V adaptor. I've yet to implement solar to power the Ecoflow... My question is: can I run the Dometic from the Ecoflow and charge the Ecoflow from the inverter in the truck at the same time? I have the equipment removed from the truck for the time being and am curious if that will work. Obviously, when the truck is driving it will be limited to 100W unless I do the 400W Anytime Wiring Harness mod. Thoughts?

Can anyone help me decide on the Dometic CFX3 45 or 55IM and the Engel MT45?

My cousin has had the 55IM for 3 years with no complete failure, but he says the compressor has slowly gotten louder and louder to the point it sounds like shyte and he never uses the ice maker because he said it’s gimmicky and takes up too much space. Based on literally every form/reddit thread I’ve read about Dometics, half have had 0 problems and are super happy and the other half make them seem like the biggest waste of money since pet rocks.

My dad’s friend has had an Engel for something like 15 years but it’s a little more expensive (since you can almost always find Dometics at 20% off). Cant decide!

I've had a CFX3-35 for (2) years now and power it with a River 2 Pro (past year) and before that a River Pro. I started out with having the RP plugged into the "AC" outlet in the bed of the truck and the Dometic plugged into the RP using the 12V adapter, the thought was to keep the RP "topped off" while driving. It did not work very well...

I found that the RP would still try and draw more than the 100W, even with AC slow charging configured, and it would trip the inverter that "ran" the outlet in the back. If you are going to try and do this then I would recommend doing the 400W anytime mod, with AC slow charging enabled on the R2P it should work fine.

I ended up putting a 12V outlet in the bed and the center console to run the Dometic directly and then I attach to the Ecoflow when I get to camp. I have a 160W EF solar panel, a small propane generator, and finally the Tacoma (parked and running @ 400W) that I can use to charge the various EcoFlows I have. I can generally get (3) Days on the RP/R2P running the Dometic without a need to charge, YMMV. If I do need to charge we will use the solar panel. We did a 7+ day boondocking trip and had a few days of rain so I had to fire up the propane generator but it was not too bad.

I have had (2) issues with this setup over the 2 years I have been running it:

    (1) I have a BAKflip hard bed cover on my Taco and during the Texas summers (lol, who am I kidding) it gets too HOT in the bed with the panels shut to run the battery and the cooler. I never ran it with the panels open to help with airflow as I just put the cooler behind the passenger seat and run off the 12V I installed on the console. Something to keep in mind.
    (2) This past winter I had the 12V power cord on the Dometic start going out (go figure) and found the cooler powered off a few times both plugged into the truck AND the EcoFlow. It was almost like the cigarette adapter became a little loose from moving around, etc. as it happened while driving and parked at camp. I got a new cord under warranty but have not really done another trip to be 100% sure that was/is the fix.

I have been contemplating putting in an AGM battery on the Taco and converting the 12V cigarette adapter in the bed to Anderson Power Pole and then using that instead. The only thing that is keeping me from doing that is trusting that I wont drain the truck battery (biggest concern) and the investment I already have in the EcoFlows. Still going back and forth on that one but will need to make a decision pretty soon.

I have been looking at the 55IM and the EcoFlow Glacier as a potential replacement for our CFX3-35. I like the idea of having ice but like you said it seems like a 50/50 split. Curious what the mindset it as well. I really don't NEED ice, I only use it for our adult beverages. I am spoiled and prefer ice in my Hendrick's and tonic :D

Finally have some good hours spent with the solar panel and max I have gotten out of it is 185w still ample feed to supplement my long trips when it's parked in 1 place for multiple days.

That was pretty much clear skies. Drops to about 80 when overcast

    Thank you.
    That is plenty.

I just received the adapter to use the old model Jackery 100w solar panel with the newer 700 Plus Jackery. I hope to use both 100w panels I have and see what I get.
I see 68w max, on a sunny day, from the one 100w panel.

    Looks like there are differences.
    Compressor?
    Handles
    Lid

    I just scanned the descriptions.

Ok how about "Warning 02" ?

    CFX395DZ

Fridge had been sitting for about a month, went to use it on a trip and got this warning and no cooling. Received this fridge as a gift, was brand new about a year ago. I ordered a new thermistor that should be here by Friday, but need the fridge working for memorial weekend so kind of cutting it close.

I understand this to be "NTC short circuit" Any helpful insight @Dometic or anyone else?

I have tried resetting to factory defaults with no change.
