Hey guys! I'm not usually one to market myself but I had a lot of interest in these, so I figured I'd make a post about them.

In short, I have been developing a super solid alignment kit for our trucks. I know of the other similar kits but they all have some issues I couldn't look past.

If any one is interested I sell them on my website:
    https://kpoffroad.com/product/alignment-cam-upgrade-kit

    20220719_095414.jpg

All alignment kits have free shipping :)

I also offer you all 10% off when using the code "TWAlignment" (without quotes).

If you want more info about my kit then keep reading or leave a comment :)

    How Does Our Kit Differ?
Development began over a year ago when we saw a need for a solid alignment kit that 1) wouldn’t roll around like the OEM cams, and 2) had more than 3 adjustment options like some other similar products. We found many trucks we worked on would benefit greatly from having more alignment options. This would allow for better stance and longer tire life.

    Enter the Octagon!

By using an octagon we were able to allow for 5 points of alignment without compromising durability! One of the many awesome properties of an octagon is opposing parallel sides, so much like a square you will still have 2 solid sides contacting the cam tabs.

We designed these octagonal cams to be a drop-in option for your truck meaning they do not require any modification to the frame.

    20220120_112255.jpg

    Weak Cam Tabs
We found these alignment cams to be great for any light to moderate offroading, but in extreme crawling or prerunning cases we noticed the OEM cam tabs would start to bend! We decided to take it a step further and develop a complete upgrade for the cam tabs.

Our cam tab upgrade kit is laser cut out of 3/16″ steel plate ensuring tight tolerances and high strength. This kit will require grinding off the old cam tabs and welding these in their place.

Our cam tabs can be used with the OEM round alignment cams but for best results should be paired with our octagonal alignment cams. With these 2 options you should never pop out of alignment from slipping or rotating alignment cams again!

    Proper Bolt Shanking
Another key point many other alignment options disregard are properly shanked bolts.

Bolt shanking is critical for ensuring your alignment tab holes do not start to wallow out over the years. Under shear load (see the illustration), the bolt experiences force perpendicular to its axis. Bolts with proper shanking will provide tighter tolerances and with the absence of these stress concentration points will increase the bolt’s performance and lifespan.

All bolts offered in our kit are properly shanked for a precise, tight, and long lasting fit.

    Holding it all Together
Many similar kits use a nylock nut to hold everything together. As you may know there is not a ton of room between your alignment cams and expensive steering rack. Nylocks perform fine however they are thick and only one-time use items. Any time you remove your nylcok nut you should replace it. For these reasons we opted to go with Stover nuts.

Stover lock nuts are a one piece, all-metal prevailing torque hex nut with a conical top and a flat bottom bearing surface with chamfered corners (great for reducing damage to steering racks when installing). The locking action, created by distortion of their top threads, is said to be capable of withstanding severe vibration and shock loads. The physical size is also smaller than that of a nylock so you will have clearance between the nut and your steering rack.

    20220120_091650.jpg

Any kit using a nylock will not properly fit between the LCA mount and the steering rack. Probably the greatest benefit of the smaller Stover nut is that will be able to flip the LCA bolt around, making it possible to remove your LCA’s without unbolting your steering rack!

    Alignment
If tire life is a concern for you then you will be very pleased to know that our kit will align your truck well within the factory specifications! Being within factory spec ensures you will stay on the road and get longer life out of your tires and suspension!

    Longevity

As you may know I drove around on 37's with this kit. I never had a single issue with bumping out of alignment and if I wasn't SASing would be running it forever! Of all the suspension components in my truck, this was the most solid and reliable haha.

I just burned in some Total chaos Cam tab gussets and I'm in the market for a product like this. I was thinking of going with taco tabs, but you've spiked my interest! I know Bison offroad has a similar octagon design. Your selling point is the better fastening nut and bolts with better shanks?

We are just waiting on bolts. We ordered some special shanked bolts but they are taking their sweet time to get them to us. ATM we are shanking them ourselves, it's just time consuming.

Yeah it essentially works the same as the Bison Offroad ones with the added benefits of the locking stover nut, washers, and proper bolt shanking. We also make out octagons out of 1/4" steel so they are much more sturdy than the Bison ones. The Bison ones will start to warp when you tighten the bolts to spec.

Nice, I've heard their tabs warp. I know Bison uses metal sleeves. Does your kit need sleeves for the bolts?

No because the the bolt size in the 1st gens is exactly 19mm. We are able to use a 19mm or 3/4" bolt.

Sorry for bombarding you with questions haha, I just really think you've gone above and beyond with making these as a Toyota enthusiast  If I place my order today when will I expect shipment? How long is the sale lasting? Thanks for addressing my concerns as well. Great stuff, man!

Let me get in touch with our bolt manufacturer and see if they have an updated time frame. Last I heard they were having trouble getting material. That was about 1-2 weeks ago.

Are these suitable for stock suspension or only for the aftermarket cool stuff like lifts and long travel?

They work with everything. We designed them around the OEM suspension meaning they will work with stock trucks, mid travel, long travel, you name it!

Sub'd for the next time I need to align the front end. Love this idea and will definitely swap out the cams for these if it needs adjustment anyways!
