Hello everyone! I’ve been on this forum for a while now but never posted anything till now, so I’m going out to Zion in about 2 weeks and wanted to ask around about any trails I can do in my 2017 off road 2WD. I’ve heard and seen awesome things about the barracks trail but I’m sure I won’t make it through the whole thing but was wondering if there was any other recommendations or maybe some more info on the trail.
    Thank you in advanced

Barracks trail requires 4wd. I would even urge high-clearance because of the river embankments that are crossed over a dozen times. Definitely not a trail I'd recommend for ya.

I'll do one better. This was from a group convo with some friends two days ago.

    "Hey Fam!
We’ve been doing a little research on the Barracks Trail and received the following email this afternoon from the BLM agent over that area and wanted to pass it on to you all:

“It is not recommended to take full size vehicles on the route that you're interested in. The route becomes very steep, narrow, and in some cases you'll go through dips that you will most likely get stuck in, or rub your bumpers on. The route consist of deep sand, rock obstacles, and a steep sand hill. Once you reach the river portion of the trail (at the bottom of the sand hill), the cuts in the banks are narrow and full size vehicles typically do not fit through them-- you'll cross the river several times before you come out on Highway 89. We recommend this route to ATV/UTV's and Jeeps."

So do with that what you will. :D

I made the mistake of thinking “I won’t even take it off roading” but yes it has lockers and is actually pretty capable Probably use it as a daily and get a Pro later on down the road
