Looks like a pretty tame sidewall. I really liked the few sets of G2’s I had on different vehicles but man the sidewall left a lot to be desired.

I wonder if they’re ever going to update/revamp the ridge grappler with all these other manufacturers releasing new iterations of their off-road tires.

Would love to hear how you feel the road noise is compared to other tires you have used. I am looking at replacing my wildpeak at3w’s. I’m between this tire, the maxxis razr at and bfg trail terrain

Those are supposed to be great in the wet weather thanks in part to the full depth sipes. Great looking tire, for sure.

And my previous Toyo AT3s were a great tire just terrible in wet weather.. that’s why I waited for these to be released because Nitto was promising a great new version of the Terra Grappler..

Good to know. I am gonna get a set of these today in p285/70r17. I am hoping the truck feels a lot more nimble compared to my lt285/75r17 wildpeaks

When I had my Falken Wildpeaks they were super loud & noisy.. also rode a little stiff.. I’m always in line for the latest tire technology and improvements..

I went to a 34 so I had a lot of sidewall to soak up bumps but as they have aged I have definitely noticed them getting loud, terrible wet & offroad traction. I’m downsizing and ditching LT since I’m moving across the country and not gonna be offroading much like I get to do out here in cali. I wanted something good in the wet which from what I’ve seen these tires should perform well. I was scheduled for install at 9 am this morning but I guess they aren’t coming until late shipment so hopefully a few more hours and I’ll have them all installed.

I think this tire is gonna be perfect for a mostly road tire with occasional offroading needs, atleast I hope haha.

I did a very short little drive on the way home. Tires are very quiet but I remember my falkens being quiet when new as well. I dont know if it’s just new rubber, smaller tire size, or what but man the truck handles a heck of a lot better. Steering feels very responsive and a lot less squishy if that makes sense. Again could be because my falkens had like 80k on them. Going to need to recalibrate my speedometer as it’s 2-4 mph faster than I’m actually going now.
