Beware.. Early on when they were new, they were great. I’ve been seeing tons of complains with quality control right now… So just know you’re paying that price for an 8-12 week lead time, then if they send you a shit retrofit, it’s another 2-3 weeks for “repair” Not to bash on BXBuilt… But they’re just growing too fast and they can’t keep up. Last three I’ve seen in person have leaked in light rain while being parked, and they’re still waiting for them to come back. One of them it’s the second time he’s sent in his first gen setup.

I ended up building my own for about $175 with parts off Amazon.

I ordered in December, received them at the end of June. Install was pretty straight forward, but the passenger side projector was crooked at about a 30deg angle. They sent me instructions on how to fix this, but I couldn't get it to work as what I needed to rotate didn't have anything to grab onto to actual out some force and spin the projector. They sent me a return label so they could fix them for me. As I was uninstalling them, my DRL bulbs fell into the headlight housing. This is when I realized the DRL (factory) had melted the housing of the headlight assembly and was now too small to get the actual bulbs out.

Both headlights have been shipped back with the bulbs still in the housing and they are going to be "repairing them"

Now, mine weren't these lights as OP mentioned, but their normal retrofit headlight. They looked great on the truck for the 3 days they were on, and the output from the BXbuilt projectors was a great improvement on stock.

I'm trying to remain patient and be optimistic that it will all work out in the end. And while I waited 6months for these (original 10-14 week lead time), I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt and hoping they will make up for it with their customer service and an eventual awesome product.

That's my first hand experience so far.

Has this been resolved? I haven't received my lights after 6 months now and am getting nervous.

Yes, I got my lights back about 3 weeks ago and installed them. They did fix the tilted projector and melted housings. Now I'm hoping the lights stay in good condition over time.

Fingers crossed! I just confirmation mine is getting built after a nudge and a reminder I'm 6 months out from the initial order.

Would you mind giving an update on how the lights have held up over the past 2-3 years. Please and thank you.

Also, does anyone have a comparison to how the light output is for these vs. the ultimate headlight upgrade?

They didn't, they ended up leaking in the first rain storm I drove through and I uninstalled them and went back to stock.

Do you think adding your own sealant prior to install would have solved that issue? Is leaking covered by their 2 year warranty?

You could try. They may have also worked out the issue entirely as it's been a few years. I was eventually given a full refund so no hard feelings from me. I wish TEQ the best.
