After coming across some Instagram videos/pics of the trail, I decided I have to go! After mentioning it in a local thread, we decided to make it a weekend. @Bluegrass Taco is assembling some of his crew to come. Its an easy trail, several creek crossings. According to some jeep forums, 4wd is never engaged so I assume it's friendly so prerunners can finally get out and play. @Bluegrass Taco is working on acquiring the maps. Depending on where you're coming from, there are offroad parks within an hour or so if you'd like to indulge in some harder trails. Tennessee DD is near Nashville.

We will run TN DD on November 12th, I may come into town the day prior or run it again on Sunday depending on how Saturday turns out. I can probably acquire a place to stay if someone needs somewhere to crash, especially if you're a camper/RTT user, if you'd like to turn it into a weekend trip.

One of the best write ups Ive found, pics too:

We're planning on being in upstate NY for thanksgiving with family but this is early enough that we might be able to add it to our trip. Maybe take a drive north on a much more scenic route than 95.

Add me to the list (as tentative). :headbang:

Its just an easy cruise trail. No rock crawling, so take that as you will. :p

I'm putting a small group together that should include a couple disabled vets. With this trip falling one day after Veterans Day, I'm sorta targeting a few vets and making this a yearly event. Working on a "sponsor" of sorts who is talking about making up either tee shirts OR hats to distribute. As that gains a little more traction, I'll post here on that subject.

I've done the Dirt Devil a couple times, and provided some GPS tracks to @Bluegrass Taco for this event. You definitely do not need 4wd. I would also advise, since these are public roads that people use to get to their houses, you may want to break up into riding groups of no more than 5 vehicles. The roads are very narrow with few places to pass. There are locations along the way that would allow for the riding groups to regather and take a break. If you guys have any other questions I'd be happy to answer them the best I can.

I'd be interested in attending. I'm new to the area and have been looking for local trails to ride.

I may back out on this. In all honesty, this sounds like it's going to be way too many people already, and I've done it enough that it won't hurt anything if I miss one trip.
