Hey guys! So not sure if this was the right place to ask this but...
I'm looking for something clear to temporarily wrap around the front bummer, grill and headlights for road trips. Anyone know of a product or diy? Was thinking of just trying some saran wrap but I wouldn't expect that to work very well. Thanks!!

Most things that have happened to my truck have happened close to home. Try looking up a clear bra for your truck if they make those things any more.

If you go to a place that wraps vehicles, they offer something like this. Its basically just a clear wrap to protect the paint.

Yeah I hear you on that. I was looking to protect it from mainly bugs, sometimes those fuckers are hard to get off

Are you talking about "clear shield"? I have it on front of hood and fenders but I want to cover the headlights, grill and bumper

I've seen people tape up the front end of their cars with green painters tape to drive to car shows. Probably fairly time consuming to do, but may be worth trying

That sounds right, Im sure if you call any wrap place they will know what youre talking about. Im sure they call it something different from place to place. They should be able to put it on your fenders/headlights no problem. People tint headlights all the time, it is basically the same thing.

This is what I just did a few months ago when I bought my Z and drove 10 hours home. It worked excellent! Didn’t take too long to tape up, maybe 20 minutes.

Are you the original owner? Seems a little strange to be that worried about that kind of stuff on a 10 year old truck but I won’t judge.

I'm second owner. First owner took very good care of it. The paint is immaculate, so I'm just trying to preserve it best I can. I take pride in taking good care of everything I own. Say what you will....

No I feel the same way about my vehicles. I try to keep the paint as immaculate as possible for as long as possible. Just thought it was a tad strange to go so far as adding a film for bugs is all. I’m not making fun of you.

No offense taken! Yeah I know it's a little extra going far to try to keep bugs off but I'm extra af with everything I do lol;)

Home improvement stores sell rolls of clear sheeting with a sticky back to protect carpet when doing demo work.
Not sure how it would form on a bumper.

I would love something like this OP. thanks for bringing it up. They’re always patching pot holes here in Louisiana with asphalt and it’s a bitch to clean off under the doors and behind the rear tires.
