Whats the expected lifespan of the Total Chaos UCA poly bushings?

I've put maybe 15,000mi on them since installation last summer and failed inspection today because of loose bushings. I've gone wheeling only twice since installation. I don't baby my truck the rest of the time its on the road. They were and still are well greased.

The tech had the truck on the lift and showed me how the rear bushing of the drivers side UCA was loose when he grabbed the top of the tire and pulled it in/out. There is about 1/8" play. Once I got it back I checked the long bolt through the UCA and frame and it was tight. Passenger side is fine though.

If this isn't normal, what else can cause accelerated bushing wear?

    Thanks!

Good questions but sucks that no one responded. I'd like to know how often they need to be rebuilt? I've had mine since 2009 and never serviced them once except to grease them with a grease gun. On the other hand my Tacoma is not my daily driver and just a weekend cruiser.

Just saw you were in Centreville. Where did you take it that they were that critical? Seems like most places around here are pretty lax.

Maybe your bolts are loose? Mine are 3 years old, 50k miles on them and they are still tight like they are new.

Did you actually see the control arm moving at the bushing? Cause that's a way to determine if you have a bad wheel bearing. You jack it up and if the wheel moves from top to bottom (not side to side) then its generally a wheel bearing. Unless you saw it moving at the control arm.

What kind of grease are you using on the bushings? I believe some grease will slowly eat away at polyurethane.

    FYI,
TC recommends loosening the through-bolt every time you lube your UCA bushings...
