Thanks HiPSI...I did just that..and for about 2 weeks...each night I've been ignoring the family adjusting myself in the driveway...the best fitment is with the seat at like 95-100 degrees with a lift under the rump to lower the knees...but then you scrape the moon roof apparatus...

Yes. At least for me, when I test drove a 3rd gen, the left side of my head always banged into the sunroof rail, so I needed to have at head at a constant right tilt.

I'm 6 foot on the nose.

Have you tried pulling the telescope wheel towards you? I always struggled with my wife's Rav4 thinking I should push the wheel closer to the dash. Someone mentioned to actually pull it all the way towards you, with the tilt all the way up. I tried that, made it way more comfortable. I do not hit my knee on the steering column anymore. I sold my wife's subaru in a short amount of time due to not being able to get comfortable. It didn't bother me on the test drive, but the first hour long trip, that car wasn't long for us.

    Working on it.
I noticed it on my test drive. I test drove a few different trim lines and I noticed my head hit the ceiling in the ones with a sunroof. I am only 6' but I tend to have a fairly upright seating position due to driving manuals for my adult driving life. I never use a sunroof and depending on the vehicle I would go out of my way not to get one so it made the choice of no sunroof a no brainer for me.

really wish my truck didnt come with the premium tech package. I would love to not have the sub/amp behind my passenger seats, not have a sunroof, and have extra switch locations in the truck.

    This.

I think the sunroof thing may be a problem particulary with Tacomas. I sat in a Corolla with a sunroof and it had tons of headroom. Same thing with a Frontier.

Interesting. I'm 6'8" with a 36 " inseam and have no issues with the seat, reach, or headroom (I have a sunroof-equipped Limited). I have maybe 2 inches of roof clearance. It could be that after years of driving small to medium size vehicles I am just used to it, but I certainly don't feel cramped in the Tacoma.

How much did they remove? What happens on 150k when the foam starts losing its plush? You'll be ass on frame then

Be the first to cut the roof off, and do a drop top.. Don't over think it, just do it.

I'm 6'6" tall. I was totally surprised that my head didn't touch the roof liner since my truck has the sun roof. I have seat all the back but I agree, the steering wheel needs to extend more. My arms are proportional but they are stretched straight out to reach the steering wheel.

Other people complain how the seating feels like they are lying down or too stretched out. Exactly opposite for me. I'm feel like I'm sitting straight up, way too high. I'm going to have a upholstery shop cut some of the foam to lower the seat an inch or so.

I coach high performance driving and find that well over 90% of the drivers I work with do not sit upright enough for adequate control. The first thing we do is adjust the seatback. Both shoulders against the back, and your wrists should touch the top of the wheel without 'reaching' for it. It's my go to adjustment not just on the track but in every situation as you never know when you might need leverage and total control of the steering wheel. There's a reason NASCAR drivers sit 'up on the wheel'.

That said I'm 6'3" with no sunroof and have zero complaints about the seats in my Tacoma.

I'm 6'3" and dont really have any issues except when I drive for more than three hours or so and my knees ges a little sore from resting against the door. I also have monkey arms so the steering wheel is a non issue. I do have the seat set all the way back with the steering wheel as high and close to the dash as it will go.
